The *only* thing that's going to give you real results is cutting calories and increasing your workout. Since it's a Hawaii emergency, temporarily cut the calories back a bit (don't starve yourself; but count every calorie) and, if you're healthy (they always say talk to your doctor first! lol), kick up your workouts to 6 days a week, aerobics daily, and weights every other day (or do upper body weights one day, and lower body the next, etc.). It doesn't need to be horribly strenuous, but it does need to be a good workout. I've found The Firm series of workout tapes to be most effective and FAST at seeing tone and results, and you can get all the DVD's through a rental service like Netflix.
I generally do this before every trip or event where I want that extra "edge", and when I stick to it religiously, (don't slack for any reason!), it always works. Yes, it is work, and does require commitment. Stay focused, and it *will* pay off. Putting pictures of Hawaii around the house may help to keep you on track.
In any case, this will lose you inches, as long as you're not trying to spot reduce. There is no such thing as spot reduction. Your body loses where it wants to lose it. However, this is where the weight lifting kicks in. In my opinion, forget the focus on inches. The tone you gain from additional lifting, lots of reps and lighter weights, will make you look better than a pure inches loss (though you usually lose the inches as well!). Plus, you *can* concentrate weights on different parts of the body to accentuate them. I always go nuts on my arms a month before I'm wearing a strappy gown. For Hawaii, focus on the abs and legs. ;)
Good luck, and regardless of what you lose, have a wonderful trip! Don't allow your security or esteem to rely on this; think of it as icing on the cake.

Yes, extreme exercise is basically the only way to shed off the last couple of pounds. Hill climbing, quick stair climbing, running, skip rope, any form of aerobics to condition your body.

Providing you are within your minimum healthy weight for your height, I would increase the intensity and frequency of your excercise.
