because if you take the commandment seriously to go into all the world and preach the gospel you are promised there will be persecutions, simple as that. all you can do is sow the seed, in love, and let God decide where it will take root. often people who have no convictions are repulsed by people who have strong ones. we are to come at from a perspective of love and concern, not "your going to hell if you don't change your ways." and the only way to do that is to build relationships with people, find out what their needs are and ask God to work through you to find ways to help meet that person's spiritual needs. Jesus took three years to develop the relationships he had with just 12 disciples. If we all did that, just developed discipleship relationships with 12 other people, the gospel would spread like wildfire.

Most people in this world would obviously line up and say that you are severely closed minded and perhaps even brainwashed, so get use to it pal!! If you really think that the King James verion is perfect than you obviously have not looked into academic study of this text, but only your churches or preachers words and teachings. The very first line in Genesis alone would be argued by probably every single person in the world who has a masters degree in Hebrew (Which this text was originally written in). I know because I've looked into it and you obviously haven't!! That my friend makes you CLOSE MINDED, not the suposed fact that you are preaching God's word!!! Wake the HELL up!!!!!

This may explain it, my friend. Eph.4:18 "They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts"

God bless you for ur efforts and Be encourage. Continue to ask and answer questions.

Shalom

While there is no way I am arguing the first part of your statement, the second part could be a little misguided. The KJV is based off of the Latin Vulgate, not the Greek that the books were originally written in. How accurate is a translation of a translation?

Because youdon't even know anything about the King James verson and are too close minded to find out.

Because no one wants to be preached to, especially not on a frigggin internet forum. I doubt anyone's going to have a life-changing epiphany just because you, almighty advocate of the KJV Bible, told them to.

There is a thick line between preaching and discussing a topic like rational adults. Unfortunately, many seem to miss that line entirely.

Amen... just to say that being closed minded to bad stuff and false religion isn't bad.

Amen, brother! :) Remember Jesus commanded us saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Is it arrogance or close mindedness to obey the living God? I say speak the truth in love always, and obey God!

(Although I'm not sure why you are so hung up on the KJV...I have no problem with any of the different translations.)

You are closed minded because you think YOUR word is GOD's WORD. Who are you to say what God's word is? Who told you Jesus is King and King James Version is Perfect? A PERSON--NOT GOD!! Who gave them the right to tell you this? PEOPLE--NOT GOD!!
