Well, sometimes, when I'm about to fall asleep or wake up, I open my eyes and it's like I'm in a paralyzed state. I can only move my eyes around. I can't scream or yell or even move my tongue. From my side (this only happens when I'm on my side and has happened quite a few times), I can see half of my room and I know it's not a dream because I can actually feel. If part of the blanket is on my chin, I'll feel it.
It's really annoying and very scary for me.
I had to remove all pillows from my bed and I have to remember not to sleep on my side.
Also, (I don't know if this helps, but) I recently tested positive for Anemia (whatever it is).
I'm 15.
I have VERY low blood pressure and sometimes black out when I stand.
I also have low cholesterol.
I am currently taking vitamin and dietary supplements. I miss out on them a lot because they're nasty, but I take them when my parents watch.
I've been wondering what has been wrong with me for the longest time!! Is there any solution?

I'm also a vegetarian. I don't know how any of these details will help.... but I just would like to eliminate certain things that I'm aware of.

I had the same problem at your age. I had an eating disorder when it started, and after I started eating right again it just went away.
Eat right and take your vitamins no matter how nasty they are! If it doesn't stop, talk to your doctor.

Blacking out when you stand is called Orthostatic hypotension. It's a sudden drop in blood pressure when going from a sitting/ laying position to an upright position. It happens to everyone, even if their blood pressure is fine. Just stand up slowly and that will help.
As for the sleep disorder, you should really see a doctor, it could be sleep paralysis, or you could be having an allergic reaction to something. My neice woke up like that and couldn't move, turns out she was allergic to her allergy medicine.
Take your vitamins and dietary supplement until you have researched enough on being a vegetarian so that you get all the nutrients you need from the food you'll be eating. eat Tofu, good source of protein and it tastes like whatever you eat it with.

I know It can be pretty frightening. I just hope you don't get the hallucinations like alot of people (myself included) do. You and I suffer from sleep paralysis. I'm 20 and have experienced this phenomenon many times before. I also have low blood pressure, low cholesterol and I experience the same symptoms that you do.
Sleep paralysis is nothing to be worried about. The only people I've found who have it are around our age. It seems that, hopefully, sooner or later it will pass; as I think it's just a weird side effect of our body still growing. If you find a solution let me know (: Good luck.
Below is wikipedia's definition of sleep paralysis.

See a doctor--IMMEDIATELY! Your symptoms indicate there is something VERY wrong! Your combination of anemia, low blood pressure, and syncope (tendency to black out) are probably related to one another; and they are very dangerous. I've had syncope and low blood pressure (but no anemia) and I'm on a strict medicinal regimen.
Whatever advice the doctor gives you, follow it to the letter, with no exceptions. Take whatever medicine he or she prescribes, no matter how distasteful it is. (It also would be a good idea to include some meat in your diet.) After a month or two, post a note in this forum, and let us know how you're doing--good luck!

You are not getting enough protein(and I am not talking meat here) This is also why you are anemic and probably why you are passing out. IF you are going to be a vegetarian take some responsibilty; read some books and eat what you need to live. It does not just mean you decide one day that eating meat is mean so you just quit doing it...
AND if you have been diagnosed with a condition you are not hurting your parents by not taking what you need to get over it and I am referring to being anemic: LOOK it up; you have the internet...Vitamins are not nasty you swallow them, you do NOT eat them. The solution is this:GROW up and take care of yourself yourself if you're so much smarter than everyone else...prove it.

Anemic because you dont eat enough vegetable proteins. Vegetarians have to replace the proteins they are not eating from meat with vegetable or dairy proteins.
Take the vitamins. They will help you.
I have had a couple of those "waking/asleep" episodes. Scary but harmless. Fainting and low blood pressure from not having good nutrition and exercise.

first of all anemia is low iron in your blood u need to be on some iron. being a vegetarian could ha ve something to do with it ifi u are not eatiing properly to replace the protein found in meat. iron is also found in red meats. replace meats with lots of beans, legumes, nuts, rice (brown is best).

It's called sleep paralysis. It's a very common condition and nothing to be concerned about. Just relax and it will go away. Really, it will!
