Why doth thou think it hath to be a King James Version?
And if you want to be truly biblical then you don't even need to invite people to look at the Bible. The arrgument from Romans 1-2 is that because of the way God has made the world, mankind is already without excuse for acknowledgeing the existence of God. So you can see God in nature.
Then you have the different question. How do you know God? For that you would be more on the ball with your question. The answer is by coming to know Jesus through the apostolic testimony to the gospel of God (1 Cor 5:3-4 is a summary of the true Gospel), which is in the revealed and inspired Scriptures.
KJV, NIV, NLT, NASB it's all good.

John Winston, you can't be serious. Be more careful with your wording: no book, not even the Holy Bible, is "a part of God".
Inspired is much, much, better said.
About your "No more proof needed" statement: you might want to go back to your KJV, Acts 8:26-37:
[26] And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
[27] And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
[28] Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
[29] Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
[30] And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
[31] And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
[32] The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
[33] In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
[34] And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
[35] Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
[36] And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
[37] And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
This man wanted to understand the Scriptures, but could not without guidance. How about people who don't even want to read? Also, when Jesus Christ was teaching (and by the way He is God's Word), don't you think those people who wanted Him crucified were pretty much exposed to His teaching? But this didn't prevent them from refusing to listen.

How do you know that God "inspired" it?
Some believers make it easy for themselves explaining things by pointing to their ultimate source of authority: the bible
No further proof is necessary.

I came to this section hoping to see good religious questions and discussions...I've seen a lot of that. I've also seen a lot of people attempting to use the forum to try and convert others. That's hardly fair.
Telling people to read the Bible on a forum isn't going to change their life. Trust me...they've heard it before. Plus, if you're not familiar with the Bible then you definitely would rather pick up an NIV than a King James. It's in plain English and much easier to understand.

Reading and studying the Bible(KJV) is what started me on my road to atheism. The Bible is a filthy book and the god of that book is the most despicable character in all of fiction.

why do you worship a book? I mean the polytheistic idolotry in beliving in jesus and the trinity is bad enough, but to add worshipping the BOOK as well? thats just silly.
edit: I will only say this, as really its quite pointless... your not ready to believe the truth anyway.
Beliving a book can be perfect, is blasphemy. to belive its "part of God" is bizzare.
to belive its his word because the book says so, without further question, is just being a stupid SOB. God Gave you a mind, use it.

Nice try, but it is just really nice poetry. It is not God. God is not words on a page. Atheists need more proof than your bible written in Elizabethan English

Atheists , you can see part of God. Look at his children. We are all God's children. Atheists, you did not make your-selves , God giveth and He taketh away; it is only God's mercy that many of us are can consumed in the night. All our lives are in God's hands.Jesus came into his world ; He looked more like God than any-one else, because He is God's son. Look carefully at all people , and you will see God; look carefully at ONE , or TWO or THREE or FOUR ,etc children and you will see A PART OF GOD.Remember we are all the children of God, even you the atheists.
