I use Aveeno 24 Hour Lotion for Extra Dry Skin. It has cooling menthol so if its itchy it soothes it and it has natural Oatmeal in it. The lotion soaks right into your skin. I have lots of red dry patches that were almost like Exzema and they have dissappeared from using it everyday after i shower. Aveeno is an amazing natural product GREAT for very sensitive skin.

The usage of soap on dry skin should be minimal because it strips the natural oils from the skin and leaves the skin dry. Instead of using toilet soaps, moisturizers should be used because they add water content to the skin. A gentle and a thorough massage is required for the dry skin to turn moist. Preferably avoid using commercial products such soaps that contain harsh chemicals in them. The alkaline content is highly harmful to the skin so do not use alkaline soaps or washing sodas. Every night before going to bed a homemade nourishing cream should be applied on your face.

Lubriderm. Unless you are looking to spend a few bucks, then I would go with Physical Conditioning by Cosmedicine, I buy my products on Sepohra.com. But the Lubriderm, now it has to be the regular, not the many new types they are trying to market right now, is great you get lovely soft, moist skin and it lasts. It is also very non greasy, if you want greasy go with Nivea. As you can tell, I too have dry skin. Good luck!

Plenty of water, baby oil - after having a shower or washing your face rub baby oil in where it is dry then pat dry with a towel - do this at night time preferrably so that your skin has time to soak it in before leaving the house...

I sometimes use petroleum jelly. Simple and inexpensive. If your dry skin is on your hand though, whatever you use, remember it's there if you are going to contact someone or something with the hand. Otherwise it might get on door knobs and more.
