Relax, the bumps on your lip are probably the begining of cold sores, sorry. But the others, no. Cold sores are a type of herpes simplex virus and it is possible for them to spread to the genital area, but unlikely. Very unlikely that the bumps on your neck are from the cold sores. If you have any in the genital area go to the doctor. The ones on your mouth the best OTC right now is Abreva, it works for most people. The other bumps I believe are just an irritation from something else, highly unlikely they are herpes. If any of these really bother you or get worse or just don't get better in a few days see your doctor. To keep from spreading never have contact during an active cold sore. Once there is a hard scab with no discharge you are okay, but from the tingle to the scab stay away!

Cold sores are caused by a Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2) and can be spread to the gential/anal area or mouth area. Neck and other places, though, I'd say no--though I'm not 100%. I AM, however, 100% sure that cold sores are caused by HSV. Some family doctors still hold the belief that cold sores on the mouth are only caused by HSV type-1, and genital herpes is HSV type-2, but my gynecologist has told me they are now interchangable. I tested positive for HSV while still a virgin (though I had never before, and haven't since, had an outbreak of cold sores on my mouth nor a genital herpes outbreak) and my gyno says it's most likely been passed to me from my mother, who gets cold sores every year around Christmas, at birth or shortly after (funny, I was born on Christmas Day). You should DEFINITELY see your doctor about the blisters on your lips, just to be safe. Until then (and I know this sounds horrible) don't kiss your kids...and don't engage in oral sex with your husband. I was ostracized by my mother because she believed I'd had sexual partners at 15 years old when the results of blood test from my family doctor's office were HSV positive...WHEN I KNEW without a doubt that I had never had sex before. It was a hard time for me so don't cold-shoulder your husband. Imagine my mother's face when my Gynecologist told my mother I had probably gotten it from HER.

If he kissed your mouth and you now have blisters, then he has spread his cold sores to you. you can even get it from eating off his spoon or drinking off him, sharing tooth brush, and doing oral. You can not get a cold sore on your neck, they only happen around on your mouth or in another place, but that would be called herpies. Cold sores are a lower class of herpies but they are very common. Since he passed the cold sore virus onto you, you will probably now have breakouts of cold sores the rest of your life, like alot of people. Make sure to throw away your toothbrush and lipsticks after it goes away or u can get it right back.

yes. it can go anywhere. Cold sores are actually yeast infections in the mouth. and yeast can spread to anywhere in the body. it is a fugus. What i recommend is to eat lots of yogurt. keep off the sugar, and treat your face and cold sores with Monistat cream (it really works.)
