I'd definitely go for the best friend. I find even if someone isn't instantly attractive to me, once I get to know them, if I love their personality their inner-attractiveness shines through and they become sexy.

I would rather date someone who I don't know who is sexy. If a woman is my friend on a platonic level then there is no sexual attraction. Taking it to the next level on love and sex will ruin the friendship.

To be blunt it depends what I'm after. Long term no probs with the friend. Short term and some sex, sexy and unknown. Just depends where I am in life. At the moment I'm at best friend stage.

Friends make lousy lovers. Whatever you liked about them that caused them to be your friend usually does not equate into sexual terms. Besides, if the relationship doesn't work out then you've lost a friend too. I've had to learn the hard way.
