This may sound strange, but I was swimming in the middle of the night in the Gulf of Mexico, and just suddenly felt so joyously alive. I stood there with alone with salt water in my hair, the wind blowing, and felt truly blessed to be living on this earth. I felt like a child of God, playing in His beautiful creation.

I was crossing a little bridge at my apartment complex. It's really pretty here...we have a lake, and there are trees and fountains, and ducks, and other birds come to the lake to fish. Anyway, as I crossed the bridge, I looked over and in the distance, I could see a white heron at the edge of the lake, watching for a fish. It was quiet except for the sound of the fountains. The trees were green, the sky was blue, the sun bright, and I paused at the beauty of it and heard this voice speak in my head, "be still, and know that I am God".

I read a book titled "A White Rose for Jonathan" written by a woman I go to church with, it is a true story of the events and miracles that took place during her pregnancy with her special needs son. She wrote it so well and since I know her and her family personally it was almost as if I was living it as I read the book and I could feel God's hand on her and her unborn child.

The separation between us and God is a twisted fabrication of the mind. In this regard, the distinction between the presence of God and an almost feeling of the presence of God is illusory. Every breath, God is. Every breath, God is with us.

God can speak to you. I believe it is so. It may not be audible, but you feel it. The bible talks about being in his presence and all sorts of examples of God appearing to others are mentioned.
