We were in Luke. Jesus was saying that there is a time coming, at the judgment, when the men of Nineveh will condemn those (who did not believe in Jesus) because Nineveh repented to God with only a warning, not a promise. When Noah grudgingly showed up in Nineveh and told them God was going to judge them, they immediately repented. There was no promise of forgiveness, no promise of eternal life. But we have the bible, we have the cross, we have the promised mercy of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to take our sins from us. The pastor was making the point that, with all this, still people will not repent, and Nineveh repented with merely a warning, no promise.

That is why, as Jesus said, the men of Nineveh will judge those who did not believe the gospel, since Ninveveh repented with so much less incentive!

Very interesting.

Sex is good.
Our bodies are not ours alone but also the property of our spouse.
People who have been married for 50yrs should be our "icons" of sexuality.

I'm serious, the pastor is doing a series entitled "Sex and the City of God". All about how Christians should approach sexuality.
A lot of it's based of the Song of Songs aka Song of Solomon.

About how an angel opened the door to the prison for Peter, because he was going to be killed.
And his church kept on and on praying for him, in a vigil, day in, day out, to be released and not have to be killed.
He showed up where they were praying-- and they knew their
prayers had been answered.

I was reminded about the importance of the Holy Ghost. Even if Christ were present and we could touch and feel the wounds he bears for us we could not have a stronger knowledge of his importance than we can gain through prayer and the Holy Ghost.
