What can a Christian do there? Every Muslim is taught from his/ her childhood that Christians are not true worshipers and they are the Kaffirs. Then how can we send missionaries in to the midst of them?

Yeah...and sending people over there saying "Your religion is wrong and ours is right." is really super effective...

Ironically some well-meaning Muslim child is asking his/her parents the same thing. "Why don't we send some Muslim missionaries over to America to show them the truth and the way."

People are going to live the way that people are going to live. Many Muslims will tell you straight up that the way Islam is practiced in many areas of the Middle-East is fanatical and not true Islam. Islam and Christianity are very much alike in many ways and a lot of the older religions do objectify women. You're still going to find Christian households in which the woman is subservient and has little say. You'll find Muslim households in which the woman wears the pants, so to speak. It comes down to simple interpretation of the word.

It was the Taliban that enslaved the Muslim people, not Islam.

Sheeesh. Aren't we ethnocentric! First of all, I assume you mean Middle East as in the predominantly Muslim countries. Right? This "so called God of peace" you mention is the same God as yours - God is God and there is One. (No Jesus isn't God according to Muslims so missionaries won't do the trick. We're talking God, not a human.) See missionaries work in places like Africa where the people are mostly of other faiths. 99.9% of Muslims are very strong in their faith because they have evidence to back it up.
There were Christians missionaries in Sudan and they were kicked out of the country for trying to spread Christianity. The people were angry and the government soon learned that they had snuck in through the border with Chad. Evangelizing is against the law apparently? Anyway, they were kicked out because they were not supposed to have come in in the first place - NOT because they were spreading the "Good Word".

I Thank God, My Father in Heaven for this well timed question. A missionary is nutrition for the savage and on a similar time life for the ill and oppressed. He avoids transforming into a Johnny Bravo interior the cooking pot of savages by way of preserving the life that Jesus lived, and following specific policies that Jesus taught his disciples. i like superb the section the place Jesus says, "Take no longer something with you on your challenge, different than your sandals and the minimum fundamentals." I undergo in ideas feeling like a fool on my first pass to to make certain the ill in a dispensary. Then, as quickly as I observed the great imported kit stored for me to apply, the self-discipline and the interest with which the ill waited, then I remembered Jesus asserting,"A hard artwork has a top to his worth or hard artwork" so as that grew to become into my nutrition celebrated. in case you have the spirit in you, you may comprehend our life. If no longer, that's poison for the uninitiated.

I know for fact there are missionaries in Lebanon, they even have Christian churches there, at great peril to their lives. Believe it or there are Christian churches in Iraq, usually underground, some have been martyred for their beliefs. And still they believe in Jesus. but, I'm afraid not in this life will it be the Christian religion in a Muslim world. Thank God these brothers & sisters in Christ have experienced God's love.

Christian missionaries are in the Middle East. There are Southern Baptist, Nazarine, UPC, Evangelicals and more in Jordan. They have churches, bookstores and all sorts of ministries. Pray for them that they will be effective in spreading the word of God.

I understood there were missionaries over there already. I believe there were many more before the U.S. Gov't suggested that they get out. Because of everything that is going on. God will protect us but we do not test Him. If we all get together on one accord and pray for them. We will see the Hand of God move mightily other there.

They used to send them over there but if the middle eastern people find out they are christians, the christians are in danger. I know only of one time that it happened. From what I understand about the terrorist, you will go straight to heaven if you kill a Christian.

Well since Bush is a Christian, how about his family first? Also, just because they are not Christian, why on earth do you people think they should be changed? Christianity is not, I repeat NOT the alpha and omega of religions. Religions are cult!

Christianity is poison. NOT an antidote. it is a perfect recipe for disaster. as such christian missionaries a good work for money laundering across india for smugglers and anti- social elements. a bishop from south threatened to withdraw 300 crores of deposits because the bank was going to be taken over by a Punjabi from Thailand. they have only money in mind, not well being of mankind.
