because he loved the gift very much and isn't being subtle about it because he's a guy?

If he was female, he wouldn't talk about it quite as much afterall there is so much other stuff to talk about (nod your head...you females could mostly all represent your countries in your talking abilities) and also he would be trying to test you in mind reading !!!!

Be grateful that he is male and by the sounds of it sooooooo into you?

- He really loves the gift and is somewhat in shock and impressed.

- It's his way of exaggerating the appreciation to make you feel good.

- He doesn't really like it, but he's caught in a web that keeps growing.

Does the thank yous seem phony? Does it seem genuine? Only you will know.

Maybe deep down he's trying to convince himself he likes it. Maybe he doesn't like it and feels guilty so he's compensating by emphasizing how much he likes it. On the other hand, I might be getting to "deep" and over-thinking it. But, it is kind of odd behavior. Gently tell this man he doesn't have to mention it anymore.

Oh he soooo wants another one - but doesnt want to appear greedy or whatever so hes hoping you'll think to yourself - aww hes SO thankful and appreciative of it - Im gona buy him another one!
Just call his bluff next time hes on about it and say - you're welcome for it - but being honest you're kinda being so overappreciative that its putting me off ever buying you another one!
Chances are he'll shut up about it straight away! xx
