contact the credit reporting agencies and inquire to their reporting procedures. this is exactly what collection companies can do. you want to go to www.experian.com, www.transunion.com and www.equifax.com. you can have them post this debt as a collection or past-due account and this will appear in their report and credit score.

just be sure to complete the reporting when/if they paid it in full. good luck!

I have those issues, I am always late. I try but sometimes it is so hard. Im a college student, my mom just died, my rent is always increasing and my car breaks down every chance it can. Don't blacklist this person. maybe you can find out why they are having these issues with money and give them a break. Life happens and it seem when a person with a low income gets a road block, it can take forever to get back on our feet, if that is even possble. Try to be more understanding, please. It sounds like this debtor is already having problems of some sort, don' be a d*ck and add to it.

Look up credit reporting agencies on the net. Some of the magazines like "Money" have lists of agencies to find credit ratings - they will be the same mobs. Of course you could just stop dealing with this person.

Unless you have an account with one of the reporting agencies, you can't post anything directly.

The reason is due to the laws, credit reporting agencies must guarantee accuracy of their reporting. They must therefore verify who is allowed to post and/or read to people's credit reports. The verification process is mainly to prove you have a "permissible purpose" to access people's credit reports.

Unless you regularly offer credit to customers you most likely would not qualify.

Your only other resource is to contact a local collection agency and see if they will post it for you (for a fee).

You have to be a member with the credit reporting companies. (equifax, trw, transunion) if you are you report your experience with that debtor. that and combinations of others make up his/her credit profile for others to make their decisions on issuing new credit. .
