The mistake all the people make is that they say things have changed over the centuries , all things have changed except GOD ! God is still the same now as He was then , and His Word is still the same !! Christians have become lazy in their study of the Bible . The King James is" The" Bible , it is not a "version" . All other Bibles since The King James are the "versions" !! The King James Bible requires the student to actually study , and go over scriptures until the meaning becomes clear as it was intended ! The more you went over a scripture the more you understand the true meaning !! King James was inspired by God to translate the Bible from the original text !! What would people say if we decided to "rewrite" the Gettysburg Address , and put in words that were not spoken by President Lincoln ?? What if there were 12 versions of the Gettysburg Address ?? It is as it was written then , not into todays` language just as the The King James Bible was written by the inspiration of God and not man !!

I see you deleted your last question about people going to hell if they aren't reading the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
Did you delete the question because you have re-thought your stance on this matter, or did you delete it because you did not like being set straight on this?
I really hope that you learned something from what was shared with you. God is really much bigger than the limitations you have been setting on Him with your fight for the "King James!"
May God bless you and direct your zeal in His will and not your own.
And remember that if you are really desperate to know that you are getting the TRUTH in your Bible, then it might be best for you to learn Hebrew and Greek so you can read the original texts for yourself.
Otherwise, do what I do and use a CONCORDANCE.
Translate every English word back into its original Greek and Hebrew along with its original meanings and then compare that information to the English word that our biblical scholars selected for the English reader. Then and only then will you have the confidence that you seem to be looking for so far as God's word goes.

The reason's why most churches don't use the KJV now a days like they use to is because people don't talk like that anymore. It would have been fine if we continued to talk like that but in reality when is the last person you had talk to someone like that useing the words of Thee's and thou's to someone? Not very often or at all in anyone's opinion. That is why we use the NIV version or something different. And that is why we don't have to run from the church. I'm sure not even the KJV is perfect as people say it is.
The only reason why the KJV is made the way it is, is because people talked that way back in the day. But now in the year 2006 we don't. Back in Biblical days they did talk like that and that is why they have different translation's.
But it look's like you have made up your mind so this is for other's who are looking for answer's in why people don't have to just use the KJV and its ok to use the other version's as well.

Why do you think of the KJV is God's holy word? you're able to be able to desire to be thoroughly unaware of textual criticism. If the KJV is God's holy word, why is there a sparkling King James version (NKJV)? Can an eclectic manuscript such as a results of fact the Textus Receptus be seen holy? Why does the Latin word "lucifer" take place in the KJV? Why does the word "Easter" take place in the KJV? Why does the word "unicorn" take place in the KJV? Why does not the KJV distinguish between Hades, Gehenna, and Tartarus? i'm no longer able to even anticipate one hand the numer of blunders found in the KJV. despite if I hardly use the different English translation than the KJV, i'm no longer individual who could call it "God's holy word" and seem ignorant to all of us.

The King James Version was first published in 1611 and was translated in the style of Shakespeare for public reading. The old english is no longer common in our present day and is difficult to follow though it sounds pretty. There are poorly translated texts in the King James as there are in many other translations. I recommend using the King James along side of another translation for clarity sake. The New International Version is easy to follow as are most all other recent translations. Your intent was not to have the question answered, though, it was to convert someone to your way of thinking. A study of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in 1947 may be useful in opening your blind eyes to the fact that the book of Isaiah is grossly mistranslated in the KJV. But for you, perhaps ignorance is bliss.

We haven`t stopped in our Church, in fact our Pastor tells us to stay with the King James version, and personally I find that a lot of the new revised versions are taking the Word of God totally out of context to Gods un adulterated Gospel, it Really Makes Me sick! man is always allowing the enemy of our soul to tamper with , change and confuse the people so that they will be blinded and stumble over the truth. Thanks for the Scripture, I`ll read it shortly. God Bless you.

Sorry, the KJV is not an inspired translation. As others have said, there are errors in the traslation. Moreover, the meanings of at least 200 words in the KJV have changed since the date of its translation. There are other traslations that are more correct and more understandable to today's reader. The NASB is the most litteral translation available in the English language. Oh, and I don't see what your Scripture passage has to do with your question.

All Christians who lived from 33 AD until 1610 AD surely went to Hell because they didn't use the King James Version.

They think it is hard for people to understand. The older the version the more preferable it is, if you can understand Thee's and Thou's. It is totaly because we live in a culture that lacks understanding. If I want to research something I expand to other versions.
