A company by the name of star grip made all sorts of grips for the company at the time, along with making grips for royal grip, they are not real well known to many, but do make alot of grips for various companies, one of the few ,if not only grip manufacturer in the u.s. (Arizona) I believe they made the first tour wrap grip, and , with no perforations, and I'm betting that's the one you're talking about, also the grip was made of a true rubber compound, not a mix which contains rubber, and cork making the grips dry out much quicker, and become slippery.(cheap materials, and generally made overseas) The grips really feel great due to the superior materials used (softer, and slightly tacky) and virtually never wear out. I believe there website is like www.stargrip.com there should be a number to call and they'll gladly let you know. p.s.

they call the grip the "smoothie" and make sure it's a 50 durometer rubber. and yes you can still get them but only from them. good luck hope this helped! I noticed the previous answer recommended a .580 core, but first check the shaft diameter of the club because the wrong core grip on wrong shaft can cause an oversized or undersized grip. .580 core is not for every club. there are various cores .560 , .580, .600, .620 + more. do your research. also you might want to check the weight of the grip to find a nice balance for the club an average weight of a standard grip is around 50 grams +/- a few grams, this can affect the swingweight if you stray much on the weight. 4 grams in a grip, 9 grams in a shaft, or 2 grams on the club head can change the swingweight by one.

They will not say King Cobra on them, but the Grip was probably made originally by Golf Pride. It's called the "Tour Wrap". Very popular grip, comes in cord and just plain rubber. I've included the link to the rubber version.

You will need the .580 core.
