All three diseases are spread through the bite of a mosquito called Aedes Aegypti. Dengue Fever and Chikungunya are viruses, malaria is a parasite. They are picked up by the female mosquito when she bites an infected victim, and spread to a second when she bites them. The malaria parasite eventually starves the mosquito to death, as it replicates in her gut and prevents her from being able to absorb nutrients. I don't think the other two are fatal to the mosquito, but all three can be fatal to people.
