I take 1200mg of Lecithin, 2 times a day, for cardiovascular, liver, and sexual health benefits. I've heard on some website that taking too much will give you a fishy body odor. Is this true or BS? I also take Zinc. And a Centrum. But not all at once.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS FROM TAKING LECITHIN SUPPLEMENTS?

Most people do not feel any side effects when taking 10 to 30 grams per day of lecithin supplements. (Zeisel, 332) But in higher doses, lecithin supplements could cause gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea, weight gain, a rash and headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and/or a "fishy" body odor.

LECITHIN IS A PHOSPHOTIDE AND IS NOT RELATED TO FISH OIL WHATSOEVER. I TAKE 2 TABLESPOONS OF LECITHIN GRANULES TWICE A DAY WITH NO FISH ODOR AT ALL. SOY IS THE BEST SOURCE OF LECITHIN.

Since lecithin is soy why in the world would you smell like fish? Unless you are taking 1200 GRAMS there should be no problem...
