Hmm...why not ask some people like: Isaac Newton, who was heavily into astrology..I suppose he was rather intelligent and discerning, wrote some books like "The Principia" over 1,000,000 words on religion and co-founded the calculus, started the science of optics and innumerable other branches of knowledge.

How about Johannes Kepler? Ever hear of him, or Tycho Brahe? Perhaps Dane Rudhyar, one of the most original thinkers in modern times and a bonafide genius? Ever consider Carl Jung? Try talking to Nostradamus and replicating his results with natal astrology, progressed charts and transitions; you might find the results shocking.

But, no, I imagine all anyone knows about astrology is madame Cleo and those silly sun sign predictions in the papers, which have nothing to do with genuine astrology anyways.

So sad, perhaps people should truly investigate before they come to false conclusions...investigate, kinda like that group of guys up at the top I mentioned.

They seemed pretty intelligent to me, but I could be wrong...

sheesh.

Yes many of us. When I have time I plan things accordingly Astrology is an ancient art and science and multitudes of people use it very successfully. But you don't just check your sign in the newspaper daily. You get a full chart done and either learn how to interpret it, do the transits or other method, or get a professional to do it for you. There is a fair amount of study and work in this if you do it yourself. And interpretation is quite an art that takes many years to develop.
Any time I take the time to carefully plan an important event according to the best use of astrology things always work out wonderfully. The most successful people in the world do this. It is only the poor loosers scurry around who laugh at people for this and fail to understand it. Pity them!

What I do is check my horoscopes every week. If more than 4 wesbites say it's going to be good week, I will be happy. If not, I will be very cautious. Unfortunately it's very rare for me to see 4 websites saying the same thing :):) I wonder why, though, since we are looking at the same stars in the same sky!

Sometimes, I do, I actually combine it with a lot of other things, like for example 16 is my lucky number, and if it is a monday too then nothing at all can go wrong on that particular day (touchwood), I didn't find this any astrology book, this is just a result of observation

Occasionally, my horoscope turns out to be true, but they're about as reliable as fortune cookies. There are probably some people that take them too seriously.

Not horoscopes. Astrology yes. Horoscopes aren't true astrology.

Yes, but you really need to have your chart prepared. Going by your sun sign (meaning only the month you were born, not the specific time, date, place, year) provides information that is too general to be of much use. That's my opinion, at least.

I think that they can be right some of the time because they are usually so general...but I don't believe in them or even read them because I think that God wants me to trust only Him with my life and not some prediction in the newspaper or whatever.

Horoscopes or astrology. It is crap.

Haven't you noticed that they always put something like...

"Aries, you may encounter a strange situation this day..."

Keyword: may

If that word was not present, they know we could sue them for fraud.

No. You should read your horoscope at night, after the day has ended. I find mine is usually pretty right on. I read mine every day.
