I'm marrying an Irishman in January and will be leaving America in December. I've found a few German sites that sell American food online in Euro, but considering the fact that I don't speak German, this poses a problem. And crazy enough, no matter how many times or ways I type in the same keywords "American food online, Europe, Ireland, blah blah blah" I just get links to getting Irish food in America. Does anyone know of a site that may sell American food to people living in Ireland? Possibly in Euro's? I really don't want to lose a suitcase to customs on my flight over due to an abundance of pudding, Jell-O, reeces, cereals, and other muchies I know I can't get there! :-P Help please!

Thank you for so many replies! Very very helpful! Ok, may have left out a few details. I lived in Ireland for the past year and came home to be with family this past August. I'm now preparing to move back. (Obviously) I was just thinking of how much I missed certain things when I was there and thought of maybe finding a loop-hole via the intrenet. I did have my mom sending me food packages ever so often, but they were so expensive for her to ship that what was inside wansn't even worth it. You know? I'll get by. I do love all the junk food over there, just miss some of my childhood favorites. Understandable.

Conversley I have the other side of the coin.I live in the midwest and can get the Irish products but feel like I've been bent over because of the price. The only store that I've seen is in Dublin temple bar area.It's a small little store just off Grafton street. If you take Nassu street heading north and take your second left it is right on the coner.Sorry I can not remember the name of it but they do have tootsie rolls and some other stuff...............I feel your pain

Ireland has the best food in the world. Most of it is home grown and prepaired. Good natural food. Farming is big in Ireland. Our beef is mainly grade A. We grow our own ceriel and make our own bread. The staple diet it still potatoes. We also grow our own vegetables although some needs to be imported as does some fruit because of our climate. We are not as obese as some americans so why do you want to bring american food here

I live in australia and we have a lot of those american product in our major supermarket chains.. I'm sure if you look hard enough in the shops over there you will probably find them, your husband probably thinks that are not sold at the shops in ireland because he is not aware... If not then I'm sure you can embrace the sweets and snack that are sold locally in ireland.. be daring and try something new.. you'll probably fall in love with them too.. or get friends and family to send regular food packs over if you really can't live without your snacks..

I'm sure you will find that Ireland isn't exactly a third world country when it comes to munchies. The supermarkets do carry a lot more than you may realise. HOWEVER i'm sure that there are a few comfort goodies that you may find hard to get or just aren't available. My best suggestion is to make arrangements with a trusted friend or family member who you can contact to mail them to you.

Well you can do what I'm doing right now. ;) I have the opposite problem living in a more rural area & I'm asian so I definitely want some of my chinese foods sometimes so I call up my mom who still lives near a large asian market & have her ship the stuff to me.
Amazon.com (don't know if they are shipping to Europe) now has a food section which sells all kinds of stuff. (even sushi kits..seriously...) so you can probably buy all sorts of stuff there. Check them out. Hope this helps! :)
