Basically it is to see how much you like or in love with him. I think it is an immature game however it is played by people of all ages and sexes. (Yes, females play this game also.) Since guys normally don't express themselves to say, " Hey, I like you alot or I love you." They insist on these silly games to force your hand to say it first. Weird, I know.

guys have a problem with expressing emotions. Saying things to make you jealous is a way of getting attention. your reaction to his words is also a map for him. If you get jealous and show it he knows you like him and interested. I say play the game for a while. say things to make him jealous and dont act jealous to his things. Soon he will get over boiled and express everything to you?

I have been married for over 27 years and I still say things to my wife that I know will make her jealous. Why? Because it makes me feel young and loved. And her response makes me love her even more.
And she does the same to me. But she is very careful about how she says it because... my response is... a little more... aggresive. And she knows it.

Because they are being LESS than friends and you are the victim of their player/manipulation personalities. Don't fall for it. Their behavior is cruel and I hope you get offended by it because people who really care about you don't want to tick you off, hurt your feelings, make you feel bad, or sadistically get a reaction out of you. Best thing to do is not to react. Even better: get new guy friends!

Because they are immature and insecure. Insecurity will cause them to doubt that you care about them, and since they are immature, they play stupid games.
