Why would you want to do that?
It is quite simple for you to not read things you feel are inappropriate.
What others do should not be of any concern to you unless they are causing you harm. I doubt the reading material of another inflicts harm on you.
Edit: Oh goodie, thumbs down for my bad answer. Perhaps a few of you could burn some Witches too!!!

No, don't burn them, because then the authors will get the money you paid for the couple million of copies you burned. The best way to combat something you don't like is just not to give it any attention. While i have no problem with harry potter, i find the Da Vinci Code to be just plain evil and wrong, and so i didnt see the movie, and i didn't buy the book, and i even was apart of a peaceful protest my church put on at my local movie theater on the opening day the movie came out.

That is uncalled for. As a Christian I find this question/statement disgusting. Just because you may not agree with something, does not mean you have to go and destroy it. And I wonder something...if God thought something is/was completely evil, I think He would find a way to rid of it besides burning books. Burning books is a method Hitler used...it is propaganda. Not one to edify if you ask me. I do not think Jesus would be going around and preaching people burn their books.
I do not agree with the DaVinci Code and what it promotes...but it is above all else a story of fiction. I have yet to read it, but once I get a chance, I will. Two Harry Potter is also a story of fiction, not promoting anything else except imagination and guiding people (not just kids) to make correct choices in life; amdist all the ones that surround us. If you read the books and watch the movies, you'll see Harry barely uses any magic. He thinks first, and that above all else is J.K. Rowling's message...think before you act. It is not a portal for Satan to get his foot in the doorway, and if people who choose a life of Witchcraft and Paganism promote that Harry Potter books helped them make their decision, they are lying. I come from a Pagan background...practiced Witchcraft for 6 years. Harry Potter was not what sucked me into Paganism, it was my own choice...my own set of decisions. Not one thing sucked me in except my own choosing. The same goes for anyone else, even if they are teenagers tinkering with Paganism. Life is a set of choices and decisions made...not a line of books and other materialism that sucks us into an abyss of evil without our knowing. Material doesn't have that power, and if one proclaims that it does (by means that Satan is in these books), then get brainwashing...please! Run everything through a brain cell as a filter people! For crying out loud! The only power Satan has is the one that we give him! He does not reside in books, he resides in the ones who give power to the words in the books...and therefore give power to him. Before you judge, run everything through a filter called a brain cell. As it states in the Bible, "Let the one without sin cast the first stone." No person exists, so before throwing stones at glass houses...check your own sin first.

I dont care about its claims about Christ, I know my faith and will continue to follow it and Christ. What makes me angry is the direction Brown took in writing it. It is yet another example of the only acceptable prejudice in today's society, anti-Catholicism, which has been brewing for centuries. It is successful because of many people's hate of the Catholic Church and America's extreme level of historical stupidity. Instead of attacking holy institutions and organizations such as Opus Dei through lies sent to a believing American public, Brown should take a look at his own despicable motives

I can think of more constructive things to do. Book burning is ignorant. Why do Christians have to burn things that they are afraid of...like witches. I've read all the above books and they are harmless fiction. What are you afraid of?

Can I just sell it in the new/used section of Amazon.com instead? Books don't bother me, and I could use the cash.

And, while your at it why don't you burn Huckleberry Finn, and Uncle Tom's Cabin, and all Science Fiction, and all fantasy, and history books, and psychology books, and philosophy books. Hey, let's save time why don't you burn all the libraries while your at it. People don't need books, do they? They just put ideas in their heads.
Yeah, you are one smart cookie ...
