Now listen, I have always been a big advocate of womens rights which is why whenever I see a muslim wearing a burka I tear it off and explain to her that she is not living under Taliban rule and she has the right to wear what she what she wants to wear. This usually leads to a confrontation between their husbands and I since they are obviously oppresive men and dont approve of my attempts to liberate their women. These women I am trying to help really dont show me much appreciation after what I am trying to do for them but that is probably because their husbands would beat them senseless if they did. If I am wrong for doing this than I dont know whats right.

You cannot be a true feminist due to the fact that u try to liberate those who may not feel they need liberated...Feminist get a bad reputation because some woman are so radically feminist they look down upon the woman that are house wives, or woman that wear veils...It is not your place to tear a veil off a woman...A true Feminist respects all woman and knows it is about equality...Just because a woman wears a veil does not mean she herself does not consider herself equal....woman wear the veil for many reasons pride, and loyalty to their religion and culture...Maybe she is only unequal in your eyes...you may be the one who sees her as a unequal because she wears a veil that u think represents a woman of a lower social class...The veil has a bad stigma that follows it and it is always misunderstood much like Muslims in general...Not all the husbands treat the woman poorly....Please in the future try to respect these woman by not tearing off their veil...you give a poor rep to the true feminist

You respect women rights but you don't respect their culture. Therefore, you're still a discriminating A$$hole. It's their culture to have a Burka and not a Taliban torture device. Another thing I would like to point out is that not every Muslim is Afghan in therefore not all Muslims were under Taliban rule.

Hijab isn't banned in America. Catholic nuns have worn hijab for hundreds of years, and no one complained. Well, they mainly did not whinge on the grounds that the nuns are so darned useful, you'll cannot support however love them. However, many conventional hijab wearers aren't chiefly useful like Christian nuns are, so humans simply get frustrated. It's not anything to do with the apparel, it is the whining ATTITUDE! Have you spotted that no one ever complained approximately Mother Theresa's "hijab"? Or are you simply considering muslim ladies?

What is wrong is a lack of education. Before u go out and start making fun of something do some background work. Covering oneself is part of the beliefs for a muslim lady, not something the taliban came up with.

Are you seriously asking what is wrong?

What are you doing is NOT liberation. The woman is practising religion.
Some women are forced to wear such things, but on the other hand, MOST of them are wearing Hijab or burka by their own choice.

Why don't you liberate a non and tear of her clothes?

No offence, but liberation is not by clothings.

Please stop doing such things.

Religious ideas and beliefs are infused into the blood of the human beings for generations .just as every creature thinks its owmn mother and father to e the most beautigul or loveliest , however bad they might be in reality in the eyes of others , the human beings are bound to consider the beliefs of the religon it beloengs to by birth as something very sacred and the best in the world however dificult it might be for themselves . this is a type of brainwahsing and it has a very strong effect on the minds of the people . There is absolutely nothing wrong infight ing for the liberation of the muslim women ; but thre will be more number of muslim women themselves who would oppose that idea .So it will bve a very long and hard struggle and it can succeed only if the majority of the Muslim women themselves decide to work for it . If any person belonging to any othere religion initiates it the Muslims will make it a issue of religous interference and will oppose it with violence as it is the spirit on which the religon has been bundled up from the days of its creatioin and it is the only religons that is highly intolerable to criticism as it is afaid of changes howeer good that might be.thre are literate and highly civilized women among muslim women also .Let them do work for the emancipation of thier women if they think that it is necessary. If they themselves choose to be what they are , let them be happy with it .After all happiness is in the minds of cretuires . a creature that lives iin brakish water will die in fresh water and vice versa . It is after all the culture and environment that one is used to that matteres in these matters .What is good for one culture might be bad for the otrher and what is bad for one might be good for the other. so long as one's culture does not interfere with that of the other., it is immaterial what one is for the other and none would be right in interfering with the other based on his/ her own standards or assesment of what is good for himself or herself. Remember the wise saying that God helps only those who themselves . .

There are also other women on the opposite end who need to be liberated like the women who work for Playboy.

But you can't force your beliefs on anyone esle, let people live the way they want to live.

"liberate"?, Oh, you mean so that they can become sexual objects, and conform to the way American pervert men like yourself view most women?

Oh yes, that's true, you want to see what's under the hood, right? Maybe you would like them to pose for Playboy, or create their own naked and lustful website? That's right! You want them to be free!

Woud you be satisfied then?
