Please help!

Aside from the Do Not Call List, you should also register with DMA Telephone Preference Service. I've registered with both and I rarely get telemarketing calls anymore.

In the mean time, just tell the telemarketers to take you off their calling list. Doing things like hanging up, setting the phone down, or yelling at them, may make you feel powerful but it won't stop them from calling you. If you tell them to take you off their list, they are required to do just that, and if they do call again, just ask to speak with a supervisor.

There is a phone number but is does take time. You might be required to write a letter. Here's an idea to deal with telemarketers that has quicker and better results: Next time they phone you and ask for "Mrs. Jane Doe" tell them you'll go get them and to hang on a minute. Then put down the phone and leave it off the hook. They will waste precious minutes (time is $$) waiting for there intended victim while you continue doing the dishes or watching T.V. I have been told that this messes up there computer system some how because they cna't break the connection completely ( hmmm not sure about this ). At any rate you become a liability to them and you will find that you'll get fewer and fewer calls. !!!
