I am a some what of a thick girl. I am 5'6'' and weigh about 160lbs. I just recently cut my hair chin length in a pixie cut. I was brought up to think that thick girls should never have short hair b/c it makes their face look rounder. I cant really tell. Does anyone know?

no your not fat if your 160 and 5'6 when your tall you can get away with weighing more and still look thin.But about your hair ,everyones hair cuts look good on them if your hairdresser says so .pull your hair back and see what it looks like .theyre so many ways and products to style your hair to look good short.

It's all just a matter of personal preference. We have short hair and guys like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a guy with long hair because long hair tends to make guys look also girly.

I had super short hair, then I started gaining weight...I looked like a bowling pin. I grew my hair long and lost some weight. I look and feel a lot better than the last year or two.

To Hell with what some of the assholes above me said. You style your hair the way you like. I don't think you are fat anyway because you're tall. What are you a size 10? Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14. As long as you're happy with yourself , that's all that should matter.

I disagree with that. I'm sure weight may play a role in it, but your facial structure, etc also plays a part. It also doesn't matter if others thinks short hair "makes you look fat", so long as you like your hairstyle.

That's not true. If you have an ugly face, a pixie will make you look horrible, but if you have a cute face it will look awesome! It won't make you look fat--long hair actually makes a lot of women look larger.

Depends on your whole face structure. There are many nice, attractive short styles for "thick" girls. Ever watch "What Not To Wear"? They deal with imperfect women all the time and bring out the best in them.

I think short hair on bigger girls can be cute, but its all up to the way her face is shaped. Chin length bobs tend to make fat girls look alot fatter.
