Oh man - just look at these answers!
A sinner is someone who does wrong and does not care. It is no sin to make a mistake - but it is a sin to deliberately hurt someone.
We are not all sinners - we are all divine, just like Jesus (accoding to Jesus, anyway). When will christainity realize what is truly important of Jesus's words?
Peace!

tao_shano,
A sinner is a person. It's really that simple. If you are able to read these words and are human (except for Jesus), you are a sinner.
It's in our nature. We do not stop being sinners by being saved. Our sin nature is still in us. But we are "Saved Sinners."
Sinners are predisposed to do wrong in God's eyes. We can't help it. We are born that way.
So God provided us sinners a refuge, and you might have heard the phrase," The lord is our Refuge." It HIS nature to provide His children with a place of refuge. And those that are Christian have been provided with that place. That place is in God through His Spirit.

A sinner is anyone who does something Christians believe to be wrong in the eyes of their god. One of their beliefs is that everyone is a sinner and that the only way to be forgiven by their god for the sins one is born into and inevitably will commit is to accept their god's son, Jesus, as the only true son of their god and to be forgiven for ones sins by Jesus. Then one must live according to their interpretations of what is right and wrong as interpreted from their book, the Bible, which they use for ""spiritual" study and guidance..

Literally, a missing of the mark, according to the Hebrew and Greek Bible texts. God himself sets the “mark” that his intelligent creatures are to reach. Missing that mark is sin, which is also unrighteousness, or lawlessness. (Rom. 3:23) Sin is anything not in harmony with God’s personality, standards, ways, and will, all of which are holy. It may involve wrong conduct, failure to do what should be done, ungodly speech, unclean thoughts, or desires or motives that are selfish. The Bible differentiates between inherited sin and willful sin, between an act of sin over which a person is repentant and the practice of sin.
They may say: ‘How can you believe that I am a sinner? I don’t do any harm to my neighbor. I live a quiet life and don’t cause any trouble. What sins do I commit?’ The truth is, however, that sin involves more than merely hurting our neighbor or causing trouble. Yes, these things are sins, and to avoid them is commendable. But the word “sin” has a wider application. Paul associated it with ‘falling short of the glory of God.’ Hence, it has to do with our relationship with our Creator, Jehovah God.
The words translated “sin” in our modern Bibles originally carried the thought of “missing the mark” of perfect obedience. Obedience to what? To God’s will. Hence, a modern Bible dictionary says: “Sin is both a falling away from a relationship of faithfulness towards God and also disobedience to the commandments and the law.” Since this is the case, only God himself can authoritatively tell us what he views as sin, and this he has done in the Bible.

Anything not in harmony with, hence contrary to, God’s personality, standards, ways, and will; anything marring one’s relationship with God. It may be in word (Job 2:10; Ps 39:1), in deed (doing wrong acts [Le 20:20; 2Co 12:21] or failing to do what should be done [Nu 9:13; Jas 4:17]), or in mind or heart attitude (Pr 21:4; compare also Ro 3:9-18; 2Pe 2:12-15). Lack of faith in God is a major sin, showing, as it does, distrust of him or lack of confidence in his ability to perform. (Heb 3:12, 13, 18, 19)

We're not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners. It's our fallen nature from adam and eve. Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god.

It is every person who has ever lived, except one: only Jesus was without sin. Every person is a sinner because every single person has sinned. Sin is any breaking of any of God's commandments.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs is undeserving of his "saintly" reputation, while Microsoft CEO Bill Gates deserves recognition for his generosity, according to a Wired News columnist. Speaking out against Jobs, Leander Kahney says that the Apple CEO is "nothing more than a greedy capitalist who's amassed an obscene fortune. It's shameful. In almost every way, Gates is much more deserving of Jobs' rock star exaltation." The columnist cites the fact that Gates has spoken out on major policy issues and publicly donated to charitable funds, "throwing billions of dollars at solving global health problems." Steve Jobs, on the other hand, does not speak out publicly on behalf of important social issues, nor do he or his wife appear on any charitable contribution lists "of note."
Disney recently announced that it will acquire animation giant and long-time partner Pixar for $7.4 billion in stock, which promises to line Jobs pockets with over $3.4 billion from Pixar shares alone. The acquisition will make Jobs the largest Disney shareholder, with seven percent of the company's total stock.
In addition, Jobs will soon be able to cash in on more than $800 million from the restricted Apple stock grant he received in 2003, at which time it was considered "worthless."

EVERY one is a sinner, and has come short of the glory of God.
But all you have to do is pray; God, I know I am a sinner. I BELIEVE Jesus Christ died for me on the cross that day, for my sins, and arose the third day. Jesus, come into my heart---and change me. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
That simple. And then Jesus changes your life FOREVER!!
