Yes. If you want to see more errors, go have a look at the older books of Mormon. They have been busy correcting things since 1948 to make the Book of Mormon more appealing and culturally centred.

A very divisive question.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I believe, study, ponder, pray about, and try to live the principles of both books.
If there are errors, they are of man, not God. In the end, however, it doesn't matter which has "more errors". What matters is what we have done with the knowledge contained therein!
I would also be curious to know which of the critics that have responded, have actually read the Book of Mormon or even the Bible for that matter.
For you, if you really want to know, I suggest that you start reading.

I disagree with all of your answer.
We can't say they are theoretical correct. Cause many of the real books of the Bible have been missing. I studied the Book of Mormon and found that most of the passages of the Old Testament and New Testament have just been copied out of the Lutheran Bibel.
The Bible in its self is a mystery. Cause the stories that they entale are some what from another time. I found it very difficult to believe, why they have not been written into the Bible, and why would the Book of Mormon be the one, that have supposely found the true sites and scroll s that the Bible has been missing.
It would be interesting to see, what the research of Theologan's would bring to day why this happened? I think it happened for a reason. That every story in the bible is an old folk or fairy tale. Just like many saying's or old historical fairy tales have been transmitted through parables throughout history. Down from generations to generations. That s how I think the Bible came to be. Sometimes it's believed, that missing parts have been either left out on purpose or they even have been changed by those who translated them. So, I would not say in it's entirley that there are errors. Rather that Book of Mormon and the Bible have been copied by translators to their own mentality.

This question will depend on who you ask. If you look at the bible it was translated and put to gether by a group of intelectuals. Open a king james version up and pick a page. See all the italisized words? THose are words that the intelectuals couldn't aggree unanimously on. But a mojority thought were right. Next find out how many books they did not include and you tell me. Yes there are contradictions due to translation and misunderstanding of the Gospel principles. Is it the word of God? YES!!!.
Now the Book of Mormon. It has been translated once. It is as it was with the exception of punctuation and the verse breakings. It was translated by a man claiming the athority or priesthood of God and with his help. Are there contradictions, not if you understand the doctrine and history.
Do these two books contradict eachother. Again depends on who you ask. But if you understand the doctrine of Christ than no.
Obviously I am biased because I am Mormon. But I have read both countless times. I have studied and studied. I have prayed for Guidence and inspiration and recieved it. I know the Bible to be the word of God, just as I know the Book of Mormon to be also. Both contain the Gospel of Christ. Together they help eliminate the confusion that existis in the bible because of mistranslation through out the ages. I hope this helps. I know it is only one point of view but it is one I believe with all my soul.
God bless.

Yes, or maybe no. There is no way to tell. If you do not believe in God, then both are full of myths and errors. Certainly the Bible had proven to cover some events that have some geographic accuracy. In contrast, the Book of Mormon locations are still a mystery.

The answer is YES. The Book of Mormon is fiction and the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
The Book of Mormon claims to be another testament of Jesus Christ, "a companion" to the Holy Bible! The founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith declared that The Book of Mormon was "the most correct of any book on earth". Yet, in the 160 or so years since Smith spoke those words, an overwhelming number of highly competent and trustworthy authorities have pointed out that on the basis of language, history, science, logic, consistency, and theology, The Book of Mormon is anything but correct!
The Book of Mormon was written by the occult practice of divination. Joseph Smith dropped a magical seer stone into his hat, then burried his face in the hat and proceeded to dictate the Book of Mormon. Joseph claimed to see in the darkened hat the words he dictated.
In 1826, four years before the publication of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith was arrested, jailed, and examined in court in Bainbridge, New York on the charge of being "a disorderly person and an impostor" in connection with his use of a peep stone to search for buried treasure. While the evidence indicates he was found guilty of this charge, he was apparently released on the condition that he leave the area.
This court examination (now proven) is damning: For it means that Joseph Smith was engaged in fraudulent money-digging with the same magic "seer stone" method in 1826 — the very time period in which, according to his First Vision story, Joseph was receiving yearly visits from Moroni (1823-1827) regarding recovery of the Book of Mormon plates.
This surely raises the question of whether, in his story of locating and translating the gold plates, he was simply trying to legitimize his use of an occult "seer stone" by carrying it over to a religious context.
One can prove the Book of Mormon wrong by using a simple $1.99 calculator and a few books on world demographics. Even the most unbiased person must look at the facts and numbers that history and demographics provide and come to the undeniable conclusion that the numbers just don't add up. Sadly, even in the light of such obvious facts, some of the best and brightest and most sincere people the world has to offer have fallen for the lies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The book of Mormon actually uses the King James Bible in its' direct quotations. It is embarassing seeing as Mr. Smith insisted that the books came from an angel and were ancient. I suppose that meant the angel had the copy of the King James translation before it was actually written then!
Another thing I must correct, as someone on here has claimed we have autographs of the original New Testament scriptures.
This is inaccurate. There is not even one single autograph, but we have copies passed down claiming lineage. And as far as there not being any errors in these copies, that is outrageous. I myself have viewed the original copies of many of the new testament books and they are just covered in scribal errors and commentary, as each scribe added and subtracted from the others over the years. Some of them literally look like crossword puzzles.
So, inaccuracies, oh you better believe it. Autographs!...absolutely not. And, by the way, they all describe myths and legends and are utterly false from the get go anyways, so please include the "new testament" with the "Book of Mormon"...both are bunk...bunk...bunk!

The book of mormon is a book that is written by men. The bible was inspired by God. I don't mean to talk down to you, but the bible does not have errors. If you read the book of mormon, all you will get is badly plagerized bible verses, and other non-sensical stuff, all mooshed together.
