I was very flirty with a woman who was our waitress tonight. I had my game face on and quite frankly I am a very humorous fella. She seemed to be liking what I had going on. I was bound and determined to try and talk to her but she left earlier than expected and was on her phone when she left. I guess I figured if there was anything there she would have come over and talked to me after she got off, but at the same time I realize that she probably wanted to get the hell out of there as well. So...what are the signs I should be looking for in that situation?

Ah well timing sucks sometimes. And it is hard to tell with waitresses who know they get better tips when they flirt a bit!

Sometimes straightforward is the best route... "If you're available, would you like to meet up for coffee sometime?" No doubt she will be surprised, but the offer is simple and low pressure but enough to get the point that you are indeed "asking her out". And if she's not available, at least you took the chance.

Waitresses flirt to get tips.

If she actually likes you, she'll find a way to talk to you more or leave a number. Maybe go back a few times, but if she doesn't say anything to you outside of "waitressing duty", you're just a potential big tip that she'll string along for years.
