my palms sweat excessively and i HATE IT. i didn't have it when i was young. does this have something to do with puberty? i really hate this because people say something about my hands being so sweaty and i am greatly embarassed. help me please.

I do the exact same thing! I'm not sure if it has anything to do with puberty but just try not to think too much about it and it'll actually get better. Trust me.

Even in puberty, your hands (and palms) shouldn't be "sweating" profusely. Talk to a doctor - he/she may suggest having some nerves from under your armpit severed. It's a quick minor surgery that does not require overnight hospitalisation. You can be discharged 4 to 6 hours after the day surgery.
Once they are severed, your wet hands will be a thing of the past. This is only as a last resort if other drugs (I don't like what drugs can do to our bodies) don't work. Good luck!

during puberty thyroid gets more active and this may cause the wet hands
if u r beyond that in age, so go check ur thyroid status (thyroid function test) because wet hands may be the only manifestation of hyperthyroism sometimes

try to consult your endocrinologist..i too suffer in that same situation that you have, my doctor found out that i have a hyperthyroidism..one of its effect is excessive sweating..this should be treated by prescribed medicines that will balance your hormones and control my hyper thyroid glands.

refrain from washing your hands right after doing some work..if it rili bothers you that much, consult a doctor..
