Most of these answers are a load of dog poop. It's not that he doesn't like you or want to spend time with you. Come on, be honest here - he DOES spend time with you. It's just that he also wants to spend time with beer. Beer is nice. Maybe you should take up a hobby for the times when he's off loving beer. Make little ships in bottles or something. Everyone needs space, some people need alot more space than other people...and most guys DON'T want to spend all their time with their girl....sad but true. At least he's drinking beer with buddies and not drinking beer with strippers....or is he? :)

Some guys just prefer to do "the boys night out" thing darling don't take it personally. If he's drinking excessivly and not paying you any attention it would appear he has more of a realationship the Beer bottle than you. I would request that he spends some sober time with you, or maybe try preparing him a nice dinner and invite his friends, show him that you are willing to be a part of his life too. Serve wine and Beer...always be a lady an sip the wine, don't chug the beer. Show him he has a lady that he can be proud of.

For me, it seems as if drinking is more fun with "the guys." Hanging out at the bar or at someone's house is better with some alky and your buds. I'm not saying drinking with a girl isn't cool (I hang with several cool gals that like to drink), it's just probably a thing that all his friends have in common. Just like if you and your girl friends were to all go shopping or watch a flick together. Oh, and did he say that he liked it more than spending time with you?? If that's the case, there's a whole other issue at hand here...

Beer time is buddy time. He'd rather be sober when he's with you... Take that as a compliment...
If he'd rather drink w/ his buddies than be sober w/ you, though, you need a new boyfriend.
Dated a frat boy when in college. He hated me drunk, but he wanted to drink w/ his buddies & he wanted me to join him. I didn't want to be the only sober person in the place. We broke up b/c he didn't like having to choose with whom he spent his saturdays...

He could be an alcoholic, or he may not have true feelings in his heart for you and he is trying to hide from himself too. Without a really deep connection with him, you may never know the true anwser, and he, if in denial, may not know himself for a long time. I have a funny feeling something is missing.

Don't drink to get his attention, unless you really like boose. If you don't want to let him go, either try to find something you like to do together, or get used to being single.
