My friend has really clean hair but sometimes it gets oily so she was freaking out! thanks for taking the time to answer

Lice are attracted to clean hair because it is easier to move around in lay eggs in. If your friend is worried about getting lice, suggest she use hairspray. That's what my teachers told us when there was a lice outbreak at my elementary school.

Nope, in fact they are less likely to find a home on a dirty head than a clean one -- or at least that's what I was told by an elementary school nurse when there was an "out-break" of lice in the grade school my kids went to.

yes they are my moms a doctor and she treats kids with lice all the time and her bosses tell her she needs her hair fresh and clean everyday or she will get it too.
