I tried opening a plastic package...you know the kind that are real frustrating...my friend said it wasn't brain surgery...it hurt me deeply and that is when I realized I wasn't suited for the medical arts... :(

there is no specific class. neurosurgery is considered a specialty in medicine.

to become one-you have to take 4 years of regular college to obtain your bachelors degree. then you have 4 years of medical school. one year as a student surgeon and then 6-7 years training in the hospital setting as a student neurosurgeon!!

you also have to take a board test to become licensed.

this is a wonderful field to work in, but highly stressful b/c it's the most intensive type of surgeon there is-there is no room for mistakes and requires a great deal of patience and skill.

i applaude you for wanting to working in such a high field and would suggest you start looking into this career as soon as possible as it takes so long to complete

the link below might be helpful to you (it was from a women's website but still informative)

good luck!!

First off you have to go get your undergrad degree before going to med school. Most big state universities (if not all) have a pre-med program. Or you can major in biology or another science field. Then you'll go to med school to work your way towards being a surgeon. While getting the undergrad degree you'll learn which med school's are best and you can go from there.

you may acquire a bachelor's diploma first from a 4-year college... and the main hassle-loose diploma is in biology by way of fact it covers each and all the pre-med circumstances in the 1st couple of years (calculus, universal chemistry, biology, organic and organic chemistry, physics). notwithstanding, you are able to substantial in notwithstanding you want in case you want to flow to medical college, as long as you're taking those pre-med training in the 1st couple of years. then you definately could take the MCAT, ideally on your junior year of school, and then be conscious to medical faculties on your senior year of school. medical college is yet another 4 years. on your very final year of medical college, you'll be conscious for residencies. You gets a commission for residency, notwithstanding it quite is low pay and long hours. Residency is on-the-interest guidance, and in case you have been basically a popular care physician or pediatrician, you would be finding at 3-4 years of residency formerly commanding an entire-fledged physician's earnings. yet as a wellbeing care professional, you are able to desire to be finding at 7-8 years of residency. so which you're finding at 8 years of school plus as much as eight years of residency formerly you adjust into an self reliant wellbeing care professional.
