Hey everyone...I had my hair permed about a month ago, and since then I've been losing hair. When I pull my hair through my hands a lot of hair strands come out, too. Before I never shed hair, and now my bed and clothing is covered with hairs...I had my hair permed 2 years ago and had absolutely no adverse side effects. Am I going to lose all of my hair?! Is there any way to stop the hair from coming out? Please help!

I also just gave birth nearly 4 months ago...could this be aggravating the problem?

Women some times lose allot of hair after giving birth. Your hair shedding probably doesn't have anything to do with the perm. You should go to a dermatologist to make sure though. If you hair is actually breaking and not falling out, then that might be the perm. You could go to a salon and have a re constructor treatment done to help stop the breakage. See a derm. and good luck

The first thing I would od is find out what permed they used. Im a hair dresser so I hope this helps. If they used and Alakine perm use vegatable oil and hot water put it on you hair leave for 20 min. If its Acid you might need a Keratin vitaim to help rebuild some new hair

get two eggs, indian hemp leave, cholesterol or cheese especially the fresh one from the cow, aleo vera, and liquid milk.
put the indian hemp in a warm water and allow to extract, break the eggs and pour it into the hemp stir then add in all the ingredients.
ensure that you put it into the scalp and then all the hair just as it done when relaxing.
cover with a shower cap and get into the steamer or if you don't have one leave it like that (in the cap) for three to five hours then
wash with a good shampoo and condition.
all the ingredient have a special effect in the hair; the indiam hemp is for growth while the egg strenghtens the hair.

You might want to go see a doctor. Massaging your scalp will help to grow the hair back and make it more healthy. If you've got a perm make sure your using really good professional shampoo's and conditioners. If you can't afford them, then infusium23 has a really good reconstructing conditioner that you leave in for 3 minutes.

that's definately no longer usual. you must get to a well stylist asap and speak to the gurus. wasting hair is a traditional facet of existence, however should you always free hair, you ought to get to a stylist, and if drastic ample, to a general practitioner, it would no longer be a perm trouble, however as an alternative a scalp trouble.

It is easier to prevent the falling out of healthy hairs than to regrow hair in follicles that are already dormant. Finasteride (marketed in the U.S. as Propecia) and minoxidil (marketed in the U.S. as Rogaine, and some places as Regaine) have shown some success in partially reversing loss. In a one one-year study of finasteride, evaluation after one year showed five of 21 subjects (23.8%) had two-grade improvement in MNHS grade on a modified Norwood/Hamilton scale and 12 of 21 subjects (57.1%) had one-grade improvement; the others remained at the same grade.[6] However such treatments are generally ineffective at treating extreme cases of hair loss.[7]
