The main point of Jesus's message was that he was the Saviour or Son of God, and that he suffered for our sins. Being married and attached to earthly pleasures would make him a mere human being with flaws and vulnerbilities and a liar. The bible says that Jesus was more than just a prophet and that God is not partial to anyone or show favoritism. You can't have it both ways.

Wrongo, the main point of Jesus' message was "Love thy Neighbor", and nothing in Da Vinci Code invalidates that.

As for the rest... christianity is a mound of theological absurdities piled on nonsense that make most myths look like a valid explanation of the world, and I don't need dan brown's word to know that, because Da Vinci Code is a pile of cr@p that should never have been published.

Of course not. The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction.
Whatever gave you the idea it was truth?

DaVinci Code denies the Divinity of Jesus. That is huge and more important than if he was married etc.

People are reticent to admit they are but powerless to the inequities of the world.
Giving your life to God is scary for alot of people--they see it as an admission that they don't have all the answers.
As far as Dan Brown is concerned; he is a competent storyteller, but that's all he is.

PEOPLE BELIEVE THE DAVINCI CODE IS REAL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW THE TRUTH. IF THEY FIND THE TRUTH THEY WILL BE SET FREE FROM THEIR IGNORACE
