i'm pretty sure it started with a friend of mine asking if he liked me and when he said yes, he passed me a note if i would go with him--we called it "going together" in the 80s, lol. we "went together" (where?!) for a month, we even HELD HANDS on a school field trip and a hayride, then in like a month he quit talking to me so i assumed we were broken up and we went to other middle school relationships! SO FUNNY! didn't kiss that guy, but had the first kiss with the next boy in line, lol!

I think that we passed notes back and forth and that's how we started dating. I was so shy that I could not even bring myself to go to his house and when we called each other, we just sort of sat on the phone and said nothing. What a goofy time! That was so long ago now. I think that he broke up with me because we never hung out or something like that. Can't really remember. At that time, all of us used to get together and break up every other month. But, when I was 12-13 we weren't having sex and all that crazy stuff. I was just learning what sex was and the most we ever did was french kiss and hold hands.

We fought on the playground right after we first met. Two weeks later he asked me out through a friend, then I told him yes through a friend and so began my middle school relationship. 6 years after make ups, break ups, family re-locations, and maturity we were in love. Ultimately we felt it best to remain friends. So, my middle school relationship started with a fight and ended with love & some great memories. Its was a 7 year long relationship. LoL-a rarity in middle school relationships.

I assume you are talking about boyfriend/girlfriend type "relation."
When I was in the 8th grade, I had a HUGE crush on my best friend Robby, and he had absolutely NO interest in me. Then we got to high school and I "blossomed," and he stayed this goofy little skinny guy, and pretty quick, he began flirting with me and I had no interest.

It is so wierd when the tables are turned and you get what you want, you don't want it anymore. I guess it's true what they say "it's human nature to want what you can't have."
