The most popular type of website visited on the internet is science fiction and UFO related websites. Porn is only the third most viewed demographic after file sharing sites. So no, I don't think it is just for porn. But then again, what is the most shared file on file sharing websites? Perhaps porn?

Not just for porn, of course, but it is a great resource for porn, and much better than having to go to a video store or whatever. The internet has made porn much more accessible.

Well, I use the internet MAINLY for work, so I can list HUNDREDS of technical websites here.
FOR FUN: I mainly sit here in Yahoo answers.
AND YES: I do surf porn and do enjoy that. But it takes a very, very small part of my online time.

internet is for eveything you want, studious people would say internet is for learning, sport fun would say it's for sport news..
internet is for what you want it to be, it can be very useful for studies, for seeking a job, for finding new friends from all over the world(my favourite), for reading, for playing games, for news, it can even used for crimes!!!
and for pornb too obviously ;-)
