How long have you had your chihuahua? If you have had it for a long period of time, it is used to being the only dog in the house. My brother has one and he does not like other dogs near him. If you have just got it, maybe it isn't used to other dogs yet. It will take time and soon your dog will love to play with other dogs.

I have a chihuahua also and I think it is in their nature to be aggressive to other dogs because intimidation is all they got. They are too small to do anything else and the aggression works most of the time. My chi is 5 lbs and we also have a 100+ lb lab and the chihuahua completely dominates him. She will growl and if he gets too close, she will bite his big floppy lip. Sometimes she draws a little blood on his lip and he just backs off. Now this is due to the Lab having a very good nature and he would not hurt a fly. Some other dog might tear her up, but I still think she would try. It scares me for her to try and jump on bigger dogs, but so far they have backed down. My sister has a big boxer and the chi trys to bite her too. The boxer is too sweet to bite back. The only advice I have is try to keep her away from bigger dogs who would hurt her. If you would like her to have a friend try a cat or kitten. My chihuahua loves cats. She will flip on her back and roll around and play for hours with a kitten or cat. She is never aggressive to the cats. She loves them. Try your dog with a cat and see. Maybe they think they are cats. Ha HA

Don't allow it. The best advice I have found for any dog training issues have been answered by a show on the Discovery Channel ~ The Dog Whisperer. I have never seen a man solve so many issues with dogs before. You'll definitely find your answers there.

It is just the nature of the little beast. Before you get anything for a pet, you need to understand the animal. I had a ½ Chihuahua, ½ rat terrier. She weighed maybe 6 pounds and would jump on anything that threatened. Do not try to make your pet conform to what you think it should be.

You should accept it. Most chihuahua, if thats how you spell it, are aggressive to all animals, and most people. There just mean as hell. Brave as hell also. They'll fight a tiger if they have access to one.
