Interesting question. Your B-day is still the 3rd b/c NY is only 3 hrs ahead, so you would have been born at 1:13am and still on the 3rd.

You were born on the 3rd because you were born after midnight. The only thing that the time difference makes now is if you want to celebrate your birthday at the time of your birth in NY it would be 3 hours earlier that in Ca but it is still after midnight so you still are born on the 3rd

Is this supposed to be a trick question? You were obviously born November 3, early in the morning...After midnight, it is always considered the next day.
