I want to change my hair to a brownish/blondish. My hair is naturally black and whenever I color over with something light it turns out orangey-copperish and i hate it.

When u color ur hair n it goes an orange copper color that's ok. I've colored my hair so many times at home n i'm used to seeing that color. Im naturally blonde but Ive bin black for ages but every once in a while i change. What i do is same; when it lightens it comes out orange colour only cos black is so dark and hard to get rid of. I didnt get 2 c ur pics but brown n blonde sounds mad. Wen ur hair is orange leave it like that overnight then 1st thing in the morning colour it brown. I'd leave ur hair brown 4 a month at least b4 u get blond otherwise it'l *** out orange again. Then get blonde either foils or a full head of streaks. Streaking it looks mad as, you'll look like a natural blonde then but either way hope it helps you out.

It's tough going from naturally black to the color you want. Not every stylist can do that,most regular stylist that cut hair,are not good with color. You would need to see a color expert to make sure you get that brownish/blondish color you want. Hope you believe what I'm saying. If you go to any hair stylist I'm sure you will come out of there with the same orangey hair you are talking about. The color you want can be achieved though. I've seen JLo with her hair like that too. Good luck

I could not see the pictures but you need to go to a salon and have them color your hair. If it turns a copper color you can tone it done to make it cooler and it will not damage your hair too much more. But please... have a professional do it. and show them the picture, that helps me know exactly what the client wants.

i had the same problem... after a ton of do it myself mess ups i finally went to a salon and now its looks perfect
