She has hidden money and transactions from me in the past as she pays the bills online. She is getting drunk every day and that money must be coming from somewhere. The last time she did this she ran up a $20,000 debt at 24% rate. I had to refinance the house to pay the bill. Isn't there someway I can find out if she has credit cards and/or bank accounts that I do not know of??? Please help>

If these credit card are in her name only shouldn't you be thankful - somewhat? IF you divorce her it is her debt and not yours... I have heard that lawyers can gain access to financial information about spouses.

Download a keylogger from the internet. It will track all of her activity when she is on the computer without her knowledge. You'll be able to find out if she is paying bills online, as well as anytihing else she might be keeping from you. Just do a google search for one.

This little $100 investment can save you thousands next time she has a spending relapse.

This will definately help the both of you keep her spending habits in check for the rest of your lives, since the only alternative is mailed invoices which you can check.

Good Luck.

If you both get your mail at the same address/same PO box, make a point to pick up the mail everyday for a month and the bill will arrive & be in your hands.

You can go online, will have to pay, can get a credit report on her, & one you & her as a joint report.

Sometimes when I do this on me only (have had ID thief) one card in my spouse & my name on a joint dept store card is on the report, but we've had this acct for 25yrs & still open. You will need your wife's SS# to do a joint credit report online. It will be secure long as you see a lock on the page and/or the bottom right side of your computer, meaning its encrypted & no-one can hack or read the numbers or the report.

Well from experience many times all you need to do is get the card call the customer service number. They may ask for the last 4 digits of her social security # etc...
Also, if you can get the account numbers and company it's really easy to go on line and check this out. I've done it and my name wasn't even on my husbands account. But it sounds like she really needs help, I hope you're praying for her

Snoop thru her purse when she is not looking or is passed out from drunkenness.

I think she needs alcohol anonymous help.

Find out why she is getting drunk, if you really care about her?

Be up front and get to the bank and order an online printout and have it mailed to a po box without her knowledge. Your name is on the bank account isn't it?

Has asking her ever crossed your mind? Tell her you and her already have gone down this road and if she is doing it again she either needs to receive help or consider divorce. that is so shady and not trustworthy at all. Make sure you arent just being paranoid though because of the last experience. Maybe you feel like this because you haven't really forgave her.

You can't, unless you illicitly run a credit check on her Social Security Number.

Sounds like a divorce is in order.

you need professional help ..i mean a good PI or an attorney. if you still want to maintain the relationship, then she will need help to overcome her dependant personality ..but she's got to put in alot of hard work. remember: you cannot help someone who does not want to be helped so, in some cases, it's best to just take care of yourself and what is best for you at this time. say alot of prayers too! helps alot. good luck hon.
