Have you ever thought about the "law of attraction" its where basically if you ask you will receive. You can be, do, or have anything you want! BUt you always have to feel good about whatever it is you want, if you constantly think about what you don't want then you will get more and more of it. But if you think positivly about what you want, even invision that you already have what it is you really want. But you have to believe in what ever it is you want, you cain't always wonder and worry about it. There is a movie or more or less a doucumentrary on the "law of attraction" it's called the Secret I advise all to watch. It goes into much more detail and better explains it more. And it ties into all religions. Like for me I'am a christain and in the book of James 1 6-8 it basically explains th e same thing. Please just tell me what you think.

I agree. Its not unlike the lesson of karma. What you put out into the world is what you get back. Or to put it in Christian terms: you reap what you sow.

The problem is this is a very, very subtle thing. You might have the surface intention of bringing something good into your life, but underneath that good intention is selfishness, greed, fear, or whatever. So instead of bringing the good thing into your life, you bring in something that is the product of whatever was lying underneath the good thing.

For example, you might "intend" to get yourself a new car. But if your wish to get a new car is really based on the fear that your current car will break down and that you cannot afford a new car, then THAT is what you will actually bring into your life!

Let start at James 1:1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings.

Are you a member of the twelve tribes scattered among the nations? This is addressed to Israel, the twelve tribes, in modern day members of the tribe of Judah and of Benjamin--the Jews.

This is nothing to do with the law of attractive based on gravity, but everything to do moving Jews to 1 Cor 10:23-24.

There is a lot of information in James as well as Hebrew, but we are not the ones the letters are addressed. We would not have the cultural background to see the changes that would separate Christianity from a sect within Judaism.

If there a secret to life, we Christians have not what Jesus asked us to do; to teach all nations.

Not quite right

What you NEED
What you GET
and
What you WANT
Are three different things.

Be happy with what you get. God and you provides what you need. As for what you want, that is totally out of your control and God will not get involved.

I want YOU as a wife. She says no.

Does that mean you won't have a wife? You specifically wanted HER.

What, you take SECOND BEST?

You go down the A list to the next name. OK, the first choice said NO so I come to the second choice. I want YOU as a wife, you weren't my first choice, but I want you anyway!

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
A night on the town
I'm counting on you, Lord
So please don't let me down
Prove that you love me
and buy the next round
Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
A night on the town.

For me the secret of Life is two things : Love and Hope. They're both necessary and life can't go on without them.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these are love.

Asking & believing God will provide. In God's economy, whatsever you sow, you will reap. You can not out give God.
