I had the same question a while ago and I read alot of information and recieved much of the info from my beautician. The best products for our hair are usually ones that moisturize. There are plenty of shampoos and conditioners on the market made for African american hair. I have learned that creamy shampoos don't strip our hair of oil. For instance, i usually use Organic Root Stimulator "Olive Oil Shampoo". I then use Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil Cholesterol, which is a rich conditioner with different oils. It leaves your hair nice and soft. You can buy these products at Walgreen's or CVS but, they are cheaper at those little beauty supply stores. Hope this helps!

Plenty. Pantene has a line. Cream of nature. Isopus...on and on. Look in the black aisle at the drugstore.
