I want to edit my text document and my scanner is saving the image to my picutures and will not let me edit.
How do I change it so I can edit text?

Regardless of where it's being put, make sure that it is saved in TIF format. If not, use a graphics program to convert it (open it then "save as" using TIF format). If you have MSoffice, open the document imaging program and open your TIF file. You then need to start the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in the tools menu (I think), and send it to Word for editing.

If you dont have MSoffice, search your software store for an OCR program. If the sales rep doesn't know what you are talking about, find someone else.

you want to apply OCR (Optical personality acceptance) software. once the document is scanned, you run the scanned photo by ability of the OCR software, which turns it into editable textual content by technique of recognising the characters in the photo. The textual content can then be edited in be conscious or the different textual content editor. caution - OCR software can make blunders if the textual content in the photo is obscure, so data-examine heavily. OCR software is often presented with a sparkling scanner. If no longer, 2 common manufacturers are OmniPage and Textbridge.
