With a home pregnancy test the earliest likely day on which you could get a positive result would be 10 days past conception. However, if you test so early you have a greater likelihood of getting a false negative (the test says you are not pregnant although you really are).

A great site for HPT information is http://peeonastick.com/

well a P.T. detects a certain hormone and if u take it to soon, it wont show up on the test. so i would wait until about a 3 or 4 weeks after sex. just to make sure u give it time. i found out when i was 2 months, and i knew right away because i missed my period (which i never had). i took a test and sure enough, i was 2 months pregnant. so like i said i would wait a few weeks. and if ur T.T.C, then good luck,

The best time is when you are officially LATE with your period. That is usually 14 days passed ovulation...give or take. However, some tests out there claim you can test as early as 4 days before your period is due. This means they pick up lower levels of HCG. Check out this site for more info on HCG levels, and HPT's.

The tests lite up possitive based on a horomone in your body called HCG. . .this hormone is present in your urine at about 2 weeks after conception. So if you can pin point when you think that may've happened, add 14-17 days (it can take three days for the sperm to get to the egg) and it would be accurate. A blood test is accurate at about 7 days after conception. Good luck!

My pregnancy test was positive 2 days before my period was due... but they are more accurate on the 1st day after your missed period. If you're anything like me, you'll take a few just to be sure. lol
