You might have misspelt it and put beever !

Yes you offended him. So what that you have a beemer? But, why did you make this comment? Here's the thing. When you are listening to someone talk about themselves, keep the focus on them. Don't turn it into a discussion about you and your precious beemer, because that is what you did. A more appropriate response would have been, "Oh, good luck and I hope you find just what your looking for."

Some people only want shiny, new, cars. Some people want big cars, mainly for show, and other people couldn't care less, except if it runs. The beemer might not have been "Hot" enough"!

that would just be odd if that offended him.
write back and make a joke while saying sorry. hmmm somehting like (remember im not very witty so change this around "hey stop looking around for change for my beemer, and maybe you can spoend that money on some coffee with me when your in town"
maybe that would be a good idea??

No don't create meaning where it isn't !

Specialist subject for some of us in the human race !

However I suspect he was actually wanting to meet up with you and didn't want to tell you directly !

If you like him, maybe you ought to call him...allows for a two way conversation.... ask him if he's coming your way again and tell him when you're free.

If he doesn't take the hint...might want to try again...after all you didn't pick up on his indirect communications and then if that doesn't work probably time to say Next !!!

Hope you didn't mind the sarcasm, it was mostly well intended.

Good luck

Common sense would say "no". Hw said he was going to buy a car and you offered one for sale. What could be offensive about that?

you did not offend him, but you might have scared him. he may think that you are beyond his ability to become friends. just send him a text and say you miss him.

If so he is rather "thin-skinned" and perhaps his silence is ultimately for the best...Who wants a jerk who can't take a joke?

no certainly not just tell him that you did not mean it and never offended him except just trying to offer him something.
