How could the God of perfect love, the perfect Father, condemn his children to eternal torment? Is he not perfect in all things, including mercy? Stop insulting Him. There is no hell, except what we make in our wicked own minds.
Would you do this to your children?
Please do not quote the bible.

Use the minds that God gave you to think for yourselves.

Jesus said "The wages of sin is death."
What do you think he meant by this? Permanent death. No afterlife. (Maybe this is what hell means). The burning pit is a pagan idea.

Of course you may quote the bible if you want. I just don't think it's the ultimate source of knowledge and truth.

If there is a god, and if it's the god of perfect love you describe, then why is it not acting the part, and giving us a perfect world? Why did it get all huffy on Adam and Eve? Why did it tell moses in the opening of the decalogue that it was an Angry and Jealous god? Why did it allow Satan to torment Job who had earned great merit and not deserved what he suffered?

Obviously, your beliefs are flawed my friend. Know your own religion, and cry out your eyes.

They will never stop until the end of the world, and God knows that.

I just don't understand why a God lover like you (we can see it in your question) ask people not to quote the Bible? It is the word of God and it has the best answers to your question.

Why can't one quote the Bible? It's free speech. You have a right to believe that there is no hell, but I do not insult God by believing that there is a hell. God gave us free will. The fact that He gave us free will is love from Him.

I am with Svartalf on this one--we will stop calling him a tyrant when Christians deny the book that states so clearly that he is one, vengeful cruel and sadistic--it is christians themselves that promote this idea, regardless of what god may or may not be like in this day and age, or your personal image of him. I will insult that god all I want, and with my dying breath--he was never my god

there is a god of whom my prayers
poor as I am boon no request
I watch the world and it's affairs
cherish the good, forget the rest
and pleasure, however preists may prate
my modest creed does not offend
gaily I drink and give my fate to my god
the good folks friend
what god a god of anger, poo!
he made all and loves all he made
the wine he gives dear friends to you
and love, his creating aide
the pleasures of these dissipate
in nightmares preists rejoice to send
gaily I drink and give my fate to my god
the good folks friend
a conquering despot drunk with power
nations and dynasties downflings
the dust his chargers proud hooves shower
begrimes the sacred brows of kings
crawl on! crawl on! ye fallen great
what wreck I how your glories end?
gaily I drink and give my fate to my god
the good folks friend

God is love, but He is also just. He is Holy and cannot allow sin into Heaven. Trusting in Jesus Christ and receiving salvation will cover our sin and our sinful nature. God is good.

Yup.

"And I have the keys of hell and death, signifies that He alone can save. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting; here the power of opening hell, that man may be brought forth, and of shutting, lest, when he is brought forth, he should enter again. For man is born in evils of all kinds, thus in hell, for evils are hell; he is brought out of it by the Lord, to whom belongs the power of opening it. That by "having the keys of hell and death," is not meant the power of casting into hell, but the power of saving, is because it immediately follows after these words:

Behold, I am alive for ages of ages;

by which is signified that He alone is eternal life (n. 60); and the Lord never casts anyone into hell, but man casts himself. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting, in Revelation also (3:7; 9:1; 20:1; also in Isa. 22:21, 22; in Matt. 16:19; and in Luke 11:52). The power of the Lord is not only over heaven, but also over hell; for hell is kept in order and connection by oppositions against heaven; for which reason, He who rules the one must necessarily rule the other; otherwise man could not be saved; to be saved is to be brought out of hell" (Apocalypse Revealed n. 62).

He sent Jesus to die so we can be reconciled with him, but we have to CHOOSE whether we want the GIFT he OFFERS which is ETERNAL LIFE.

Ok look at it like this. You think because God is GOOD, he will overlook your sins, but his GOODNESS is whats going to make sure everyone receives JUSTICE. If he just allowed u in as u are, he would be a CORRUPT JUDGE. He knew we couldnt get to heaven on our own so he sent himself to die for our sins so we wouldnt have to pay for them in eternity. When a person accepts Jesus into their life they stand perfect before God.

When God created us, he also created us with a conscience. Wich every way we decide to use that is up to us. God didn't create the polution, he also didn't create the way we tourment eachother threw war, and also didn't create the way humans like to destroy their bodies the the inhaling of cigs and peircing our bodies with metal objects and inking them threw tattoo needles.

People will stop insulting Him when they realize He is very real and very serious. He gave us a book full of instructions. The point people make this realization they are going to be on their knees.
