You don't give the version of Word you are using, but the steps are similar. You should be able to figure it out.
1st, you must have a data file - a Word table or an Excel file. It must have column headings.
2. Open a Word document.
cl Tools
cl Mailmerge
cl Create
cl Mailing Labels
3. Get Data
give the name and location of the data file
You have to select the label you want to use. click Options.
Let's assume you want Avery 5260, 30 per sheet.
Select Avery 5260
You will get a window where you have to enter the fields (column headings), for example:
name "return"
address "return"
city state zip no return here
cl o.k.
Then, you cl Merge
If this works for you, you can save the merged file if you want, but definitely save the label file. You can use it over and over by changing the name of the data file.

Tools
Letter and Mailings
Envelopes & Labels
Then click on the Labels tab and put your cursor over the picture of the label, click on it once, and choose the label that you bought.
Finally, click on New Document
And start typing in your return address.
Oooops! This is for return labels.......address labels are pretty much the same step though.

Go to the "Mail Merge" section in MS Word help.
In the alternative, you can go to www.avery.com, and dowload a free Word add-in that creates labels as a Word Document.
Finally, you can also download another Word add-in from www.ncr.com that does the same thing
