There should be a date on the can. If it is unopened usually a few yrs. If it is open, I would throw it out after 24 hrs

Don't know for sure, but I can tell you that it gets very thick. I had a 5+ year old can that was like library paste. I tried to mix it in the recipe & it didn't mix in -- more like it "chunked" in.

If the can is not expanded & doesn't hiss when you open it, it is probably safe to use. But it may not bring the results you want.

as long as it is still in the can and not dented or anything I think it can last a long time.

my mom had some in her cupboard for years.....and she made fudge with it....it was still good.
