I am curious to find out how much women detest getting asked out when they are working. I am thinking more along the lines of being a bartender or waitress. I mean they are always going to be nice to you, but I wonder when they are being nice in a "why dont you ask for my number" way. I guess I have always thought it is in bad form to ask a woman out who is at work, but if that is where you meet them, what can you do?

Slip them your number and a note. Do not just ask. Do not wait for the answer. Make sure she knows it is you giving the note. But just wait for her to call or talk to you next time you see her. If she runs when she sees you, you know the answer is no. if she smiles when she sees you come in, the answer is probably yes. good luck. just try

I am a waitress at night (second job) and it is impolite to ask in front of everyone for a date. Do a lil more investigating, like hey what time do you get off, or you look like you need to be taken out? Feel her out in a non-obvious manner, and go from there. Please just don't put the person on the spot.

Well I use to work as a bartender and I use to get phone numbers on a napkin and on money I thought it was kinda cute.

When your leaving work, see if she wants to do something then or make plans with you for some time soon. At least exchange phone numbers.

When I'm at work, I think about work. What I need to remember, do, tell others, and don't really want to be bothered on another track, so to speak.

Slip them a note.....leave it with the tip. That way you spare yourself the embarassment when they tell you to jump off a cliff

well..it totally depends on how you ask than out.....i mean...if you offer them your number and say call me ...maybe we could do coffee sometime...that's not too badly...then you can get to know each other...its a very neutral offer and doesn't sound too forward.
