Hell is like prison, do you have a choice wither or not you go there? Yes and the same applies for hell, your actions alone will determine if you go there or not.

I agree with you, the word "choice" implies something you would do in a game show. But God not only can stop anyone from going to hell -- He can also predestine these people from the beginning of time, and give them the gift of belief at the right point in their lives, which is a beautiful thought for a sinful world that has a natural inclination toward Hell. If that's what you're getting at, it's Scriptural, and you get no argument at all from me.

When a child does something bad they know that the price is very hurtful to take. Parents 'spank' their children not because they hate them but because they want the best out of them and the worst gone. God also doesnt want the worst out of us, he wants the best. That's why heaven is there, to place the best of the best. If we think clearly we'll see that all those bad things that god doesnt want us to do is for our own good. And we get rewards, as if children , if we do good that is also for our own good, God has EVERYTHING to do with us. and hell IS a choice. Life IS a test- to get the best out of yourself. To god, even a little good isnt a total lose but an improvement. If god didnt do this no one would be afraid of hell and everyone would steal, kill, rape and lie. Is that what we really want? God can do anything he wants. And he wants us to be good for ourselves, can we rally blame Him?

God is omnipotent, he is all powerful. God grants you the ability "free will" to choose between He and the Devil. You have a choice as to what path you choose to follow. God does not send you to Hell. You send yourself. God has given us specific guidelines to follow. Read your Bible. That is God's philosophy on paper. Anything outside of his instruction is hellish. I beg to differ with you on life being a test. The test is to either live forever in glory and splendor or forever in torment, it's your choice.

If He stopped us from doing everything than we would be just like robots. God wants us to love Him because we choose to, not because He forces us too. And life is a test, you can choose to pass or you can choose to fail.

Hi Taren,
Hell, like darkness, is the absence of light. We can stay in the darkness if we want but the light is always there. God is the light, he is not a punisher, as God is not acting around. He is - he is the light, he is Love.

If people really understood the bible they would see that hell is the common grave. It's not everlasting torture like priests and ministers teach you. And God makes a promise to the righteous to have ever lasting life on earth.

WRONG. God cannot do anything He wants, and He cannot violate our free will. God cannot has not and never will send anyone to hell. People send themselves to hell when they become aware of the love of God that they have spurned with the way they lived, and know they are unable to have it.
God did not make us robots.

If you're talking about the Christian God, then it's very simple. You've been given the freedom of choice, so that you're not just a robot having to follow a slavish dictatorship. What you do with that choice is up to you - but you know the consequences of your actions. It's up to you whether you want to believe or disbelieve.

God has given us free will, and He will not infringe upon that right. He can only offer us salvation, and if we don't take it, too bad. Do you really want to be God's robot, with no will of your own? God's law is similar to federal law; they made the rules, it's up to you to obey them. If you go to jail, would the police be to blame because you wanted to sell drugs? And how do you know life isn't a test?

He sent Jesus to die so we can be reconciled with him, but we have to CHOOSE whether we want the GIFT he OFFERS which is ETERNAL LIFE.
Ok look at it like this. You think because God is GOOD, he will overlook your sins, but his GOODNESS is whats going to make sure everyone receives JUSTICE. If he just allowed u in as u are, he would be a CORRUPT JUDGE. He knew we couldnt get to heaven on our own so he sent himself to die for our sins so we wouldnt have to pay for them in eternity. When a person accepts Jesus into their life they stand perfect before God.
