Since when is being rich evil?

Stealing is evil. Coveting what your neighbor has is a sin as well, I believe.

People who say illegal immigrants negatively affect the country's economy don't know a crap of what they are talking about. Those who agree to have open borders are also out of their mind. Illegal immigration is not an economic, but a security problem because it shows how easily the border can be trespassed. Immigrants, whether legal or illegal, have proven through history to be a surplus for the host country's economy. Yeah, some of them do take welfare for their children, but this is a minority and all the money they lose in unreturned taxes pays off for that.

Yes, illegals do pay taxes, they just don't REPORT them. The only way to avoid taxes is if you get paid in cash which some illegals do but again, this is only a minority.

Between the rich and famous people hogging all the money and the illegals hogging all the jobs, it would seem that the rest of us are pretty well screwed. And both groups like to call us lazy. What do you think of that? Why should I pick one group to oppose when they both keep average citizens down and work together to do it?

i'm not anti immigrant, i'm anti ILLEGAL immigration. any mexican (assuming thats who you mean) that enters the country legally and becomes a citizen legally i'm all for that. my biggest problem isn't even which the mexicans that come over as much as with our gov't that allows it and spends billions of dollars a year on illegal immigrants when we're already in debt and have legal citizens who could use that money.
the only time i have a problem with illegal immigrants is when they start protesting and complaining that they want all these rights. what kind of screwed up back assward logic is that. it'd be like me breaking into your house while you are sleeping, eating your leftovers, then waking you up to tell you your food taste like crap. what would you do then.

also, as anyone ever realized that the top 10% of this countries money earners pay over 50% of the nations taxes, the taxes that pay for all the cost of the illegal immigrants you're trying to defend.
EDIT, after doing further research
top 1% pay 33 percent of nations taxes. top 10% pay 65 percent, top 50% pay 95%

i do not believe that immigrants steal their jobs and so forth. it i something called minimum wage, cheap labor as well as supply and demand!and i agree that the rich people like Paris Hilton who is worth like $150 million is hogging more than ever, money that is! why cannot we let some one else have a decent job or would we rather make a stupid ditz even richer: she knows three phrases! "Screw you", "Tha's Hot" and "Like Whatever". and by the way look at how hard some waiters work when you go out next time, like they do not sit down for a second, and that is for minumum wage! so how is that unfair! what is unfair is having a bunch of rich ditzes like Paris Hilton who do not appreciate money or value or life or how hard it is to make a living via minumum wage!

Nearly everyone in the USA came here due to immigration. Thus, while I am against illegal immigration, legal immigrants are more than welcome.

The rich do not always play by the rules. But they are hardly to blame for people crossing the borders illegally.

The rich can buy their way into almost anything, including government! They have been doing this for a very long time.

Google "The Trilateral Commision" for more info on this!

Long term open borders with Mexico and Canada because of the fact it will make America stronger. The isolationist people need to realize as trade becomes more intense in the world there gonna be more immigration. Social Security in crisis we need as many additional workers as we can get in the next ten years. Cant have social security benefits like we have today without more immigration. Unless, we raise taxes on the remaining people working. Long term the reality were better off working with Mexico and Canada to stardandize immigration, labor laws, have uniform regulation on trade and commerce. People fear the Untied States will lose its way of life. I belive that to be based on false assumption we never really closed the border with Mexico for the last 150 to 200 years. Mexicans are treated like a scapegoat for people that lost manufacturing jobs, but the truth is we gotta make choices. Do we want cheap electornics, automobiles, housing. Those require cheaper labor to electronic, or automotive compoments, and paying a person 22 bucks an hour for that line of work is ecomonically unproductive in the long run. Education is part of the problem for Mexico, and we should have reciprocal worker agreement with Mexico so we can export are skilled workers from the untied states to Mexico so the young workers get expericned in Mexico they can use in the Untied States. The reason is a lot of American college kids are doing jobs that there no demand in America for, and we dont have the job market for that line of work. Yet, there high demand in Mexico for that work possibly. Good idea to have skill matching visa for Mexico, Canada, Untied States so we can give options to younger workers to have job they want instead of taking the 8 buck an hour coffee shop job How many Americans, or Canadaians would like to retire in Mexico instead of Florida because of housing prices has push out from owning beach property. In Califonia you have to drive 90 miles to Bakerfield to buy a house under 300k, if a person workes in Los Angelas or San Diego. We have mismatched job market that only gonna be addressed working with Mexico, Canada, Untied States. Sealing the border off makes it more likely immigration will increase becauese of the fact the ecomony will lose wokers to retirement, and economic growth could slow to 2% a year instead of 3%. We have to give incentive for Mexico to grow thier ecomony, and closing off the border gives them less incentive to perform some of the reforms necessary. Mexico and Untied States have more traffic coming across there borders each day than any country in the world. Mexican ecomony collapses it direct hit on the American ecomony. The immigration issuse tied to terrorism that is poor policy.

First, what is an "anit immigrant"? I am ANTI illegal immigration for sure because they DO STEAL JOBS and Social Security numbers. They are ruining our country. They are devestating to our economy. The list goes on. You got a lot of good answers here. Don't expect true Americans to have sympathy for criminal trespassers. They should be deported upon discovery.

1st off what I believe in is our criminal justice system. Illegal immigration is a crime. 2nd off I'm anti illegal not anti immigration. I do believe that our politicians and big buisness owners are getting rich too easily. But we illegals are taking jobs that americans need. In my area we are over run by illegal immigrants. They will take out loans through stealing others identities and then change area's they live on and Identities. The job market here has drasticly shrunk since NAFTA. Employers have quit raising pay because they have planty of cheap labor (illegal immigrants) to work. Yes we need to punish big buisness and we need to quit paying our politicians so much. But we also need to assure that no citizens is without a job when an illegal immigrant is working one. These jobs that illegals are working in my area are not low paying jobs. They are working any job in the area and citizens cannot get them. We have lost 6 industries in my area do to NAFTA. Our area is flooded with illegal immigrants who have been working these jobs since before companies started leaving the country for even cheaper labor. They must get out now because citizens need the jobs. A company must be forced to get rid of its illegal immigrant workers or else they won't. Why would they want to train citizen to do the jobs when they have illegals already working the jobs. It is time for us to focus on our citizens and if that means that we must get rid of the illegal immigrants then so be it. We cannot take care of other countries problems until we deal with our own.

Remember how people like to get on the band wagon at the moment the new word in America is Illigal immigrants

They do.

But my reason for being against them is mainly because they are breaking our laws, and they are criminals. Pure and simple, with no trimmings to make it "all pretty".

As for the rich. . . I am by no means rich in any sense of the word (student loan payments for both my husband and me alone would balance the national debt), but I do believe that those that have the money, it is theirs to do with as they wish. I don't want to force them to do anything with it, because that is what the communists and socialists do in their countries. I prefer to be in a free nation - free to do as we wish with our property.

I believe that criminals should have few rights in our nation. And I believe that the criminals that come into our country by breaking our laws should not be here. Breaking the first law is the hardest, it gets easier from there to break laws, and they must to remain here without being legal.
