Please check with the oncologist, they have the information. Good luck to you, the group will help. Also the local Health Department should know.

I am a recent bone marrow transplant patient myself. There are numerous websites for this. The place of treatment can give you a list of sites also. Please do not believe everything you read on the web about cancer....some of this stuff is put there by ppl with an investment in their idea. You can go to www.mdanderson.org ~~~ they will let you put in your type of cancer and all the available treatments. Very informative and trustworthy. I am taking my treatments through them. As for the chemo tips..controlling the nausea and vomitting and the mouth sores is the biggest battle. There is alot of fatigue with chemo. There are support group listed on the MD Anderson Website that can be very helpful and beneficial. I have a wonderful support system at home with family and friends and my church. Dont know what I would have done without them.
Hope this helps and God bless your family

Cancer is tuff & taking chemo is another tuff battle to get thru.
My mom has cancer & is in treatment now & will be for next 5 months. I'm sorry you don't have a close friend or relative to lean on for help at this fearful time...But..go to yahoo, then click on groups...then an empty space that says something like-type in a word or words for the subject you are looking for- & type in "cancer chemo support" ( minus the quotation marks) & search. You will find lots of avenues to turn to for questions and answers & for comfort of assurance & encouragement in your time of dispair.
Best of luck to you & your husband. My advice to you, do your grieving away from your husband, be strong and there to give him love & understanding whether you understand or not, he needs you to be strong for him. When you are afraid it might make him think his illness is hopeless.

I'm sorry to hear that. You must be going through hell. Cancer is a scarey word. It is devastating when it affects those who are so close to us.I don't know where or when support groups are held, but you can probrably ask the staff at the cancer center where your husband is recieving his chemo.I'm sure they have info on support groups and the people in them must have some useful tips for you. Please accept my sympathy. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Good Luck.
